The Xbox Series X is an absolute powerhouse! From the moment I unboxed it, I was impressed by its sleek, minimalistic design in Carbon Black—it’s futuristic but blends perfectly with any setup. The 1TB storage is more than enough to load up on my favorite games, and with the quick resume feature, switching between games is incredibly smooth. The performance is mind-blowing. Games run in stunning 4K with buttery smooth frame rates, and the load times are practically non-existent thanks to the SSD. Whether I’m playing the latest AAA titles or exploring older games with enhanced performance, the Series X handles it all flawlessly. I also love how quiet the console is, even when running graphically intense games. It barely makes a sound, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the experience. Plus, it’s backward compatible with tons of Xbox One, 360, and even original Xbox games, so my entire game library is always ready to go. If you’re serious about gaming and want the best console experience, the Xbox Series X is a must-have. It’s fast, powerful, and future-proof—truly a game-changer

The Series X is absolutely the best VALUE console... if you can get your hands on one that is... First, the hardware, the Series X has a 1TB NVME SSD, with about 800 GB available after the OS files take over. Compared to the Series S 512 GB with about 360 available for user files, or the PS5's 825 GB with 667 GB of usable space. Why is storage so important? Because next gen games CANNOT be loaded on to an external drive. As of this review (Feb 2021) there are still no expansion solutions for the PS5. Xbox Series can use an external drive to store the games and play backwards compatible games, so there is a bit of a relief if you don't want to spend $220 on a 1TB expansion card. The console itself is surprisingly small, while still monolithic, it is noticeably more compact than previous generation consoles in terms of sheer volume. I found it's far easy to put my Series X into my backpack with some other stuff. I do travel a bit for work so my use case is a bit more unique, but it's nice nonetheless. That being said, you may want to check you can fit it into your entertainment center due to the cuboid shape. The controller isn't a huge departure from the Xbox One generation, the inclusion of a dedicated capture button is a welcome improvement, as is the addition of textured grips and updated VERY CLICKY d-pad. The PS5 controller seems to be having issues with drift due to the new design, so if it ain't broke don't fix it. Performance wise, this is easily the fastest console on the market in terms of actual day to day use. Quick Resume functions far better than the PS5's game suspend function, as I've noticed the Series X can keep a couple of games suspended, even when powered off and unplugged, the PS5 seems to just keep one in memory and only while plugged in. Backwards compatible games absolutely fly, and with the work that Xbox has put in to make BC games perform better I have found myself playing older games that took forever to load. There aren't many exclusive next gen games but Gears 5 is noticeably better looking on a 4K TV compared to last generations powerhouse the Xbox One X. Cross platform games generally have more options on the Series X than on S or PS5. For example on Cyberpunk you have a 60 FPS mode or a 4K mode (that runs at a LOCKED 30 fps and runs at higher quality setting than any other console in terms of ray tracing and npc density). The PS5 only has one option and it appears to be a 60 FPS mode. The weak part of the Series X would be the lack of games if it wasn't for GamePass. If you're buying an Xbox without GamePass you may as well not buy any Xbox as it is THE reason to get into the Xbox ecosystem. Access to every new Microsoft produced game day one is fantastic. I barely purchase games anymore as most of the games I want to play are on GamePass, the inclusion of EA play in Ultimate definitely the way to go. The reason why you may not be interested in an Xbox is the PS5, which frankly at the time of writing this review has a better next gen library. I understand that Xbox studios is working hard on new games but the PS5 has the stronger launch lineup. If you have an existing Xbox library, or don't have a last gen console then the Series X is the far better value proposition as the Series X has 4 generations of games available instantly thanks to GamePass. If you're wanting to check out GamePass but don't want to spend as much money and are more invested in the Playstation ecosystem, it might be more prudent to check out the Series S due to the lower cost of entry. You will be hampered by the significantly smaller drive and the focus on 1080p gaming, which is fine for people looking for a bedroom console or fortnite machine for the kids. In conclusion the Series X is the best console for the money right now, and will likely hold its value far into the future. The PS5 controller issues and lack of expandable storage make it a wait to buy until stock and hardware issues can be sorted out. The Series S will likely be easier to buy and cheaper, but you might find yourself wanting to upgrade in a year or two when next gen games REALLY take advantage of the hardware.

Coming from PlayStation I have to say that Xbox series x is a powerhouse. I have a whole backlog library to catch up! Only 3 stars cause bestbuy wouldn’t let me add a protection plan online nor at the store. Nobody knows why they can’t add it.

4k gaming! Nuff said. Instant resume is alao a great feature. Its literally instant. Combine with Game Pass you cant go wrong. Only complsint is you are stuck with MS memory cards instead of being able to choose your own memory.

The Xbox Series X is an incredible console and easily the best gaming system I’ve owned. The performance is outstanding—games load extremely fast, graphics are stunning, and gameplay feels smooth even at 4K with high frame rates. Quick Resume is a huge plus and makes switching between games effortless. The console itself is quiet, well-built, and looks sleek. It handles demanding games without overheating or slowing down. Backward compatibility is also a major win since I can play older Xbox titles with improved performance. Overall, the Xbox Series X delivers exactly what next-gen gaming should feel like. If you’re looking for power, speed, and reliability, this console is 100% worth it. Highly recommend.

It's ok. Feels more like a PC than a console in setup with all the user options. I still don't understand the choice to use batteries in the controller instead of including a rechargable battery. Controller is very clicky to the point of distraction.

The support at bestbuy was perfect and they helped me out with everything. The Xbox X is one of the best consoles I had. The Xbox Series X is a top-notch gaming console. It offers fast performance with smooth 4K visuals and quick load times thanks to its powerful hardware and SSD. The design is sleek and compact, and it includes a lot of storage, though you might need more as games get bigger. The Quick Resume feature is great for switching between games easily, and backward compatibility lets you play many older titles with enhanced graphics. With access to a large game library through Game Pass, it's a great value. Overall, the Xbox Series X delivers an excellent gaming experience and is a strong choice for serious gamers. I would recommend this console to anyone. Plus game pass is amazing for all the new cods!

I've been an avid gamer for many years, and I've owned a number of different consoles over the years. When the Microsoft Xbox Series X was released a few years ago, I was immediately interested. I had heard great things about its powerful hardware and its support for next-generation games. I decided to purchase the Xbox Series X, and I've been very impressed with it ever since. The console is incredibly fast, and it can easily handle even the most demanding games. The graphics are also stunning, and I've been blown away by how realistic some of the games look. In addition to its powerful hardware, the Xbox Series X also has a number of other great features. The controller is very comfortable to hold, and it has a number of new features that make gaming more immersive. The console also supports a wide range of accessories, so you can customize your gaming experience to your liking. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase of the Microsoft Xbox Series X. It's a powerful console with great features that will make you love gaming even more. Here are some of the pros and cons of the Xbox Series X: **Pros:** * Powerful hardware that can handle even the most demanding games * Stunning graphics * Comfortable controller with new features * Wide range of accessories * Support for next-generation games * Quick resume feature allows you to pick up where you left off in multiple games * Smart Delivery ensures that you always have the best possible version of a game, regardless of the console you're playing on **Cons:** * Expensive * No disc drive (digital-only version only) * Can be noisy when running demanding games * Lack of some exclusive games compared to the PlayStation 5 Overall, the Xbox Series X is a great console that offers a powerful gaming experience with stunning graphics. It's perfect for gamers who want the best possible performance and features. However, it is expensive and lacks some exclusive games compared to the PlayStation 5.

Bought this March 13, 2023 and the APU is now dying 6 months later. Black rectangular artifacts constantly flashing on the screen during game play. Green hues and saturation all over objects. Very disappointing. I had to wait a while to purchase the Xbox Series X due to demand, and they had allegedly fixed this issue with their Series X console a year or 2 ago, but apparently Microsoft is still allowing sales of the old units...just a hypothesis. Many have the same issue a few months into ownership.

Picked up the Xbox Series X from Best Buy and it’s been outstanding so far. Setup was quick and easy, and the performance difference compared to older consoles is immediately noticeable. Games load almost instantly, run incredibly smooth, and look amazing in 4K. The console stays quiet even during long gaming sessions, and the Quick Resume feature makes jumping between games effortless. Storage speed alone makes a huge difference. The controller feels solid and comfortable, especially for extended play. Overall, this is a premium console that delivers exactly what it promises. Very happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend it.

The Xbox Series X is simply an amazing console: Immense power. Beautiful graphics. A familiar UI. Games that chugged on the Xbox One with long loading screens, lower FPS, and annoying lag run so smoothly now. And the 4K picture and vibrant colors make it impossible to look away from the screen. As for Quick resume, it’s something that I can’t imagine being without now. It does take literally only seconds to switch between entirely different games. Even if you have to load a game from scratch though, the Series X does that in no time either. And it’s absolutely worth mentioning how fantastic it is how ALL of my Xbox One and 360 games just seamlessly work on the Series X. Xbox always does a fantastic job with backwards compatibility, even bringing some of the performance upgrades to those older games. For “cons,” sure the storage gets used up pretty quickly, but there’s still more usable space than the PS5 and an external drive solves the issue right away. Overall, if you’re on the fence about switching to next-gen, go for it. The upgrade is absolutely worth it, especially for all the new games on the horizon.
