This story takes place before chronicles 2 timeline wise. As a stand-alone it's not as long, but still a good length if your on the fence for chronicles 2 then give this a shot.

I liked the new changes that they incorporated vs the old game. The fighting style changed but it was enough to keep it interesting rather than just sitting there and timing buttons.

This game takes place before the main XC2 game. The things that were hinted at are fully explored here. Would totally recommend to people who have played the main story.

I recommend playing the original first, as this one may spoil certain plot twists of the original. Otherwise, its a fantastic prequel to play after you finish the original.

This is a prequel to the last game but the game plays a lot like the last one. The characters are all great. If you enjoyed the last game, you will be happy with this one.

This is more than a DLC to an already great game. Improving on the original controls and providing expansion to cut scenes from the main game that fill in some blanks.

A whole new DLC for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 that has its own story that is a prequel. It’s a huge dlc and definitely worth the price for how long it is.

If you played the first or love RPG then you'll love this game. If you own a Switch you need to buy this fame, if you don't you need to get a Switch for this.

Love this game! Very similar to Xenoblade Chronicles 2, with a few different mechanics. You will enjoy this game and the story if you enjoyed the original.

If you can get past the combat being a combat management instead of real time battle this is an absolute gem of a franchise. Deep 60+ hour jrpg action awaits!

This prequel story does nothing but complement nicely the excellent game that is Xenoblade Chronicles II, with nice game mechanics and original additions.

This is an unnecessary purchase if you have the expansion pass, but for those who want a physical copy of standalone DLC, this is a nice "collectible."

I bought this as a gift for my brother and he likes it. The combat system seemed interesting from my second hand experience of watching him play.

You can play this game as a stand alone if you have not play XC2. It has it's own story that doesn't need any setup from the main game to enjoy.

This standalone DLC helps to expand on the xenoblade world and improves a lot of the issues with the combat system from Xenoblade 2.

If you have played any of this series and loved it then you will love this one too. It is a good game for a good price.
