Just converted from DSL to Comcast Cable speed differences were out out of this world. After set up of my ARRIS Touchstone DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem and Wireless Router with Telephony my speeds on wifi are NOT noticeably faster (went 5 - 25). Very disappointed by it. Just did a speed test and it is only running at 2.89 download and .61 upload this is pathethic!!! The modem also did not come with a back up battery...I have to go get one of these now to keep my phone working in the event of a power failure.

I have Time Warner and therefore it would not hold a wireless signal for me because the cable company automatically overwrites the programing in their nightly cycle. Also Time Warner can not get 911 to work with the phone jack portion so it was extra that I did not need. Manufacture explained to me that it was really built for Comcast technology. It worked amazing when the signal was in.

Great modem and router. Saves me money on my cable bill. Plus I can use it for other cable if I ever replace Xfinity. Also helps to declutter my desk because it's a modem and router.

It's a decent router. Speeds are what I expect and it works. It annoyingly has its own Wireless and you cannot disable the Xfinity hotspot easily. I'm sure there is a way, but I haven't bothered finding it. Still, it will pay for itself in 20 months or less the way Comcast keeps upping it's rental charges so if you need the Voice service of the triple play, its the best option I could find.

Most trouble I had was getting the item activated. Comcast does not like to loose the monthly rental fee. It took 3 calls to finally get the modem activated. Once activated I had to call Comcast again to get the caller ID to come on the TV again.

This is the only comcast voip phone compatible modem that best buy carries. Not a bad modem/router combo. The only thing I wish was that this was an AC router.

Technician from cable company tipped me off on a way to save on cable charges. Told me to go to Best Buys AND ONLY BEST BUYS to purchase a modem box , It has been a big savings on our cable bill. Best Buys rep knew exactly which one we needed for our system. Thanks Best Buys

I purchased this item because we have just changed from Centurylink internet to Xfinity cable internet. Installation was simple and it works well with the units in my office. As far as the wireless it is not as efficient as I would like. My previous router was less expensive and gave me twice the distance.

When I got it, the firmware was old and I couldn't bridge it. Comcast will not flash it and Arris wouldn't either. They both said the other was responsible. The internet and phone worked as expected. I didn't use the WiFi. Eventually, Comcast just flashed it like 2 weeks later and the new firmware let me bridge it and I am using it with my Linksys WRT1900ACS with no issues.

I called comcast and they setup the the hold thing, phone, internet and cable with no problems.everything has been working great. I have had it for one month and it still showed up on my bill. I can't wait to tell them to take it off.

The best part of this is eventually having a real permanent discount on my cable services providing the Comcast does not change the modem/router profile.

This is the only cable modem that will work with Comcast triple play bundle. I bought it so I wouldn't be paying Comcast a monthly fee. Same unit that you pay monthly fees for.

This is a must have for any Xfinity customer. Don't rent their equipment. My Internet speed is faster than what I'm paying for too. Easy to set up. Highly recommended.

Bought this because it was the only one I could find that supported phone lines for Comcast VoIP. Previously had a separate modem and router so this eliminated one extra device. Problem is it doesn't seem to be as powerful as my previous router. To get a decent wireless connection I had to move it down the wall a couple of feet. Needs a range extender.

This works ok if you have to get stuck using this for your comcast phoneline and refuse to pay the $10 per month rental fee. Only issue i had with setup was with the wifi. I had to have comcast turn off their wifi bridge so this would work (which was great because I was using my wireless router and dont like giving out the free comcast wifi...seems unsafe).

The router works great! !!! I bought it so you don't have to pay monthly to xfinity. Works great, I've been using for couple of months. No issue

The Modem is the only one Best Buy carries that works for Comcast (Xfinity) customers that have internet and still need a hard line phone. The modem was fast and easy to set up. The speed is very good near the device but degrades rapidly around corners and more than 20 feet away. Otherwise, all is well over the two-months the device has been in use.

This modem / router works as expected. Extremely smooth streaming for watching movies and tv shows. Multiple devices using wifi with no problems.

Awesome product a great way to save money on your Comcast xfinity bill. This modem has telephony capabilities and is compatible with Xfinity double or triple play. It works great and has around a 40 foot wifi range.
