Product functions but wireless performance is mediocre-single band only. I purchased this for the telephony aspect as I have an alarm system that requires it and I don't have to pay the cable company a monthly fee. Caveat- you have to call the cable company and give them the mac address for them to give you access to their network. Bypass the level 1 tech who says you can't do it and get to the level 3 tech who knows what they are doing. They have to send a config file over the line to open up the features- took about and hour and a half to finally get it working.

Works grea with no issues. Xfinity charges $10 per month to use their modem. It pays for itself in 20 months if you are on a 24 month contract.

This modem is a great replacement if you dont want to pay the monthly rental from your cable provider. I prefer the Motorola Surfboards, but if you need phone service, this is the way to go.

Store employee indicated it was designed to work with Xfinity Internet and voice. So far so good. Had an issue with voice due to a voice mail message but xfinity customer service was able to fix it through modem. So far all is good and elimates monthly rental fee for modem.

Expensive but better than renting. My client didnt want to pay rent on his modem any longer and this was easy to drop in place for the failed rented one from comcast on a holiday weekend.

This is a Great Modem. I purchased this modem to replace the one that I was renting from the cable company each month.. It was not hard to set up. If you need a modem that's also wireless and will allow you to connect your home phone to it as well, this is the one. It's a little pricey because COMCAST Xfinity has the market on them.

Easy to set up. Comcast had some issues on their end, but that doesn't reflect on this product.

I'm not a techie type, so when I had to update my router I decided to go to the router/modem combo. It was very easy to set up, one call to my provider to establish the new address, and it was up and running in about 20 minutes. Haven't had a problem with it in the couple months I've been using it. No drops, always connects, nice range. I'd recommend this.

I got this to replace my Comcast leased modem/router, so I didn't have to pay the lease fee. It's the exact same model as the Comcast one, so set up was the same as before. Has been working very well for several weeks now. No reason to think it will not keep working well past the point where it will pay for itself in reduced fees to Comcast.

I had been renting the identical modem/router from Comcast for years, and paying $10/ month. I found out, talking to a Comcast tech, that I could purchase the same unit and save $120/year rental charges. There is no operational difference between the unit I purchased and the one supplied by Comcast. I should have done this years age.
