not the greatest replacement for the cable companies modem as they have the 5GHZ capability and this one is only 2.4 capable.

Exactly like Comcast uses. No more monthly rental fees. It will pay for itself.

Replaced equipment leased from Comcast. Easy to install with instructions and assistance from Comcast for activation.

After you buy the modem, call Comcast customer service to add this new modem to your account. You can then return the rental one and save $10 a month. That's it.

My folks were looking for a DOCSIS 3.0 modem to use for Comcast internet in Houston. This one fit the bill, and was easy to set up. You'll need to ensure you get the MAC address (it's written on the label on the modem or the box) and provide it to Comcast when you call to initialize your modem.

Works the same as the won I rented from Comcast only toke 10 min. to hook up

This modem works with buckeye cable even though the cable company tries to tell you otherwise. Works better than the one provided by the cable company.

Had to get this(only choice) item for Comcast Cable. I gave it 2 stars because I could not get a back-up battery from best buy, can only get the battery from Comcast! Comcast said that $40.00 for their battery gives an automatic one year warranty on battery and modem-router. I said that the 2 year warranty from best buy already cost me 10% more = $20.00. Did not get the battery. Sales said they see many problems with this Modem-Router, but it is the only choice for comcast!

Excellent cable Modem. Simple to activate I call comcast and they had me connected in 20 minutes with no problem.

I decided to purchase my own modem rather than pay monthly rental charges to Comcast and this was the modem they recommended. It seems to be doing the job.

Our internet was acting buggy, random wifi disconnects, so we purchased this modem in an attempt to solve our issue. Tech support from Comcast didnt have any solutions for us. It says it supports speeds of 320 but I found it must mean a wired connection. It will do 175 connected (our limit) but only 100 on wifi. In comparison my Asus router does 175 on wifi, plugged into this modem of coarse. Add the painful call into Comcast to turn it on, the premium price we pay for this I cant see it being worth more then 1 stars. Taking into consideration the horrible wifi range this product is a 1 star all day. This is the only solution if we want to purchase our own modem with phone capabilities and wifi. Should have better options, reflected in my rating.

Workes as expected and will end up paying for itself since I don't have to rent from Comcast anymore. Back up battery for the phone line is not included.
