It does what it is supposed to...however the range is not great. It's not dual band. I noticed the wifi is much only 25% of the connected speed. It does save me $10/mth rental fee from Comcast and it's only 1 of 2 they will accept.

Offers to you if you have thier phone service, which absolutely is not right! I have 100mbps Service and in order to get the full rank of my service I had to get my own Top of the line Router in addition to this Arris/Motorola Product...but it is good, just not amazing, if your trying to get the full bandwidth of your capibilites!

Bought this Xfinity modem/router because it was the only one that worked with the Comcast phone service. Just okay. Turned off the wireless router because it was too slow and didn't give me wireless coverage all over the house. Plugged my old wireless router into the cable modem and now we have wireless throughout the house. Don't really like the cable modem either but have to live with it because of the phone service. With their phone service, you're pretty much forced to use their equipment. Bummer.

Did not realize it had a built in router - had already purchased a router and with a built in cloud, so have two now. After a hassel with Comcast in setting up the modem, it is working great.

The cable modem worked great. Only problem is with the cable company. While the internet part worked not the telephone. So I ended up returning this modem, purchased one with just internet and cancelled my phone service. Hello to cell phones.

After we swapped out the modem/router that Comcast had installed behind our backs with this one it seemed as if we didn't have the power in certain parts of the house we had previously. We ended up moving it out of the laundry room and into the family room / basement where it is usually working OK. Not sure if it's the router but I don't know what else it could be since we didn't change anything else.

I have had virtually no issues with this modem/router by Xfinity. The only shortcoming I have noticed is that I need to get a network extender for it to be effective in more than a small area of my house. The speed drops off if I am not within 15 ft or so of the physical modem. However, when I am within 15 ft, the speed is fast. I believe the severe drop off of wireless speed is related to the CBS construction of my home rather than a failure of the modem/router itself.

The only product Comcast seems to support for both Internet and phone. The cost of the modem is pretty high but Comcast gets what Comcast wants. The wifi is weak even when compared to other wifi modems several years older. I suggest putting the modem in bridge mode and using a different router. Comcast has raised the lease of their modem to $10 per month, so this purchase has a payback of 20 months. Don't give your money to Comcast when you can purchase your own modem!

The wireless router is exactly what we wanted and was recommended by the Best associate. We had no problem connecting the router to our wireless system, with the help of Comcast.

Sales associate (Ryan Rabern) extremely helpful w/ explanation of set up (show and tell). No problem when I got home to set it up. Only downside (quite minor) was rearranging my desk so modem would be closer to the tower of my computer.

This is worth buying if you're sick of paying $10/month for a rent of comcast's modem. Easy to setup, done in 30 minutes including unpackaging and calling comcast to set it up.

Researched several modem/router combos that would also support my home phone line and very glad I decided to go with this one. It works perfect and best part is that I'm no longer paying the equipment rental fee to Comcast/Xfinity.

Although the cable modem was out of stock at my local store, the BB sales person helped us order it and have it shipped to our home. Once I received the unit, I followed the included instructions and was up and running within 1 hour!

This router was very easy to set up and get working. Everyone wants a super powerful router. We live in a 2 story house, and the router is almost at one corner of the downstairs TV room and it reaches to all points of the house. It is not real strong out in the garage, but that is ok.

It is the right model and unit when you are selecting Comcast/XFinity as your internet and phone provider. The issues come when if the unit does not have XFinity most current firm wear. You will need tech support and sometimes two visits to your home to trouble shoot. Ours works now, but it took some time while we had good tech support. I may not recommend the units the pay back period is about 2 years and who knows what new technology may exist in two years. I probably should have rented from Comcast at $10 a month
