I needed a new video card after my old Radeon decided it was time to pass on. I don't do much gaming so I didn't need anything overboard. This went in quick and had me up and running with updating drivers in under 20 minutes. I'm happy as it does everything I need.

Works with Fedora 28. I replaced an ATI Radeon HD 4850 512M with this XFX - AMD Radeon R5 220 Core Edition 2G with out an issue.

I decided to try this video card for the price, going from a 1gb to 2gb what could go wrong. Simple enough to swap the card and load the software, even running extra software updates. Well that is where the positives end, price and install. The negatives the site says it has a fan but it does not. I looked the box over and knew it didn't before the purchase and figured my pc had enough fans and it was not a big deal. The older AMD Radeon 1gb card I had to begin with had a better user interface with more selections to control the cards performance. When using my dual 32" monitors you would get slight green flickering down the middle of the screens. Using the interface to increase the GPU and Memory clocks actual caused the system to into uncontrollable screen garbage such as flickering of colors, shapes and scrolling lines. This was just on desktop screen with nothing but the AMD Catalyst Control Center up. After a few restarts, I was able to lower the settings and select a game. The lag even on the lowest selection made the game unplayable. Finally gave up and decided this card was not worth the price or the headache and plan to return.

I needed better video than the built in on my computer, this filled the bill at a very reasonable price. It now allows me to watch streaming tv w/o buffering & freezing.

I tried everything in the book to get this graphics card to work, nothing. The install CD wouldn't even play. Took it back and got a PNY GeForce 710...plug and play with spectacular graphics.

It works, if all you want to do is browse the internet. Anything else and it will burn up. It is nearly impossible to find the specs, but when you do you'll realize this cards guts are from twenty years ago.
