I bought this game after reading early impressions and decided to give it a try. The game's story and presentation are top notch, and the combat system is both fun and hilarious. There's nothing quite like picking up a bike from the curb and mowing down a bunch of punks with it. The side stories are also really well written, it had me more engaged than FFXV did.

I've wanted to get into the Yakuza series for a long time now, however since importing the game from a large Japanese audience to a smaller American audience causes it to be delayed, I've never gotten a chance to play any of the games. This game is a prequel to the whole series, and us a great starting point to getting into the game. I'd highly recommend it for anyone who wants to play through a very interesting, very gripping game about the Yakuza.

Yakuza 0 is a violent game, with a deep story. There's plenty to do and is highly entertaining.

Yakuza 0 is my first time in this long running series of the Japanese Yakuza underworld. It's a Crime Story that's packed with an extrodinary amount of side content and main content stuff to do. After 110 hours playing this game, I'm still digging in for more. It is a prequel to the main Yakuza titles so this makes for a perfect opportunity to jump into the series. The stories told are intricate and very approachable for the western audience.

The story in the game absolutely destroyed me emotionally. Some of the best written drama I’ve seen in a video game in a very long time. This is the perfect entry point to the Yakuza series, and it has 2 titles you can immediately follow up on (Kiwami 1 and 2) as well as the remasters of 3, 4, and 5. I’m so happy the entire Yakuza mainline series is now playable on PS4!

The Yakuza games may not have been all that easy to get into 10 years ago, but they have decided to do a reboot of sorts with a game that has modern mechanics for its fighting and movement, and they have gotten better are making the game appeal more to westerners while still having a heavy Japanese vibe. The missions vary, and can get fun and wacky. And its great to hear that the series has a future with a formal reboot of the first game.

There is a lot to do in the game. The fighting is good. The story is good but it uses a lot cutscenes so spend a lot of time watching rather than playing. The game is entirely in Japanese with subtitles.

From all the reviews I’ve read. I haven’t had a chance to play it because of my insane backlog. The physical game was nicely wrapped. The box smells nice. Overall, good packaging.

Great beat em up with rpg elements with a really good story. Tons of extra stuff to do. Love this series

This is great for anyone who is wanting to jump into Yakuza but missed out on the other 6 so far. Yakuza is a semi open world beat em up game. No english voice acting which can be a problem for some but the story is great. There are other things to do in the game as well like exploring the city and playing arcade games. If you can look past the dated (but still fun) gameplay and the lack of english then pick it up, it's fantastic.

The story is engaging, and the combat is fun, but the game is like 30% story missions and combat, and 70% random minigames. These range from mildly amusing for a few minutes, to really awful.

Japan crime family? Check. Fighting? Check. Mini games. You know it.
