I love this game. It's a great game and lots of fun. One of the best introductions to the series for newcomers. Also tells a very compelling story about love and sacrifice.

I was blown away by this game! The production value, cut scenes, story and dialogue were all REALLY good. Haven't played a video game with and actually good and movie like story line like this one ever. Can't wait to play more in this series!!

One of the best-strangest games I've ever played. At one moment a guy is dancing on a stairway in an adult diaper and the next moment your in a cutscene where the Yakuza is talking about war with another faction. Amazing.

This game is incredible. It has it all. Everything you can do in it is fun. This is also an excellent starting point if you're looking to dip your toes into the Yakuza franchise. I recommend it to everybody I know with a PS4.

Yakuza 0 is set before the rest of the series chronologically so it makes for a great entry point for newcomers. Long time fans won't be disappointed, this is probably the best the combat system has ever been, and the game is gorgeous!

Very interesting and fun open workd game. Bever played the series before but if you are a fun of games like GTA, this is a good choice. Definitely would recommend to those interested in seeing a (cartoony) version of 80s Japan.

This game got me into the series. It's basically a JRPG where the battles take the form of a brawler. This is not a GTA type game, as a heads up, despite what it may seem like. This is a very story heavy game, but the story is fantastic.

Yakuza games always amaze me with the detail put into the environment, and Yakuza 0 is no different. Though compared to later entries the graphics are a bit dated, the gameplay and story are incredible.

If you’re into GTA, you will love the Japanese version of it. It’s a great game and if it wasn’t for the annoying subtitles, it would be the beat game out there. They need to find actors to provide the dialogue.

This is my first time with the Yakuza and it really makes me feel like I've been missing out this whole time. A wonderful story combined with a detailed, engrossing world and tons of extra side content. Please pick this up if you can!

Great game with a great story. It will give you Shenmue vibes, although less philosophical and tighter combat systems. No better place to start if you're interested in the 8-game Yakuza franchise.

Fun game with a great story which delves deeper into Kiryu Kazuma's character, and for the first time, Goro Majima! Fighting system is the best it's ever been, and the host club/real estate simulations are gamed in themselves!

Great brawler with a distinctly comical approach to the japanese underworld. Fun througouy, engaging, great minigames and a 40+hour main story. I will now look forward to playing the rest of the Yakuza games.

4.5 stars: I've only played enough Yakuza in the past on PlayStation 2 to know that I'd enjoy the concept of this game. It's a unique one; a sandbox-style game that takes place in a number of highly-detailed cities, that's part beat-em-up, part minigame collection, part cinematic crime drama. At times, it feels like a jack of all trades but a master at none. For example, some of the minigame activities are rather plain, and fighting can feel a little janky at times. Inventory management is kind of antiquated, too, but any complaint I have (listed or not) is a minor one. It's a very enjoyable game with tons of good content. Has a wonderfully wacky way of transitioning between serious gangster turmoil and... going on a fake date with a girl you just met to convince her father she has a boyfriend... to beating up a gang of yakuza in a dim, dirty back alley, to... providing backup karaoke singing for a girl you met via a telephone singles chat line... you get the idea. Great starting point for newcomers, as this is a true prequel to all of the other Yakuza games. Graphics are middle ground for a new PS4 title (it came out in Japan back in 2015) but as a tradeoff, the game runs at 60 FPS in most scenarios. Voice acting gets an honorable mention for being a clear cut above the rest, but Japanese is the only option, with English subtitles! You've been warned!

While the Yakuza game hasn't been a very popular game in the states this is a very well done game about a man who is in the Yakuza in 1988 Japan and the events that occur with his struggles dealing with a problem he was framed on.

As the title says. Was always interested in the Yakuza series but never got the opportunity to play them. Now with these releases, prequels, and sequels all on PS4. I get to catch up on an amazing game series.
