This game is a prequel to the Yakuza series. If you're a fan of the Yakuza series you'll love this game. If you've never played a Yakuza game before this one is a good place to start

Criminally underrated series!

The virtual game world you explore in Yakuza is nowhere near as big but it feels so much more "lived in" than Rockstar's masterpieces.

Anime + Beat em' up!

It has some really suggestive material and adult themes. The in game mini-games are awesome. Playing Out-Run and Space Harrier are a blast not to mention all the other stuff. Amazing!

It was also the first Yakuza game I've played. It is a prequel to the rest of the series, so it is a great starting point.

There are tons of things to do, quirky side-stories & fighting. These are very well written and the voice actors are consistent through the entire series.
