Don't worry if you haven't played previous games, this comes with a richly detailed summary of the previous installments. As you play, your character gains experience points that you can spend to tailor him to what kind of skills you want to focus on. The voice acting is not that great, but there is plenty to do, and even just walking your character mindlessly around the city can feel rewarding. It can be a bit slow paced at times, but stick with it.
