Great re.ake to the original on PS2 . Every this better

WoW,, i cannot believe SteelBook edition is cheap,,, if you are collecting in SB edition, you fully buy this game

this is one of my favorite series of games and making it new and improved for the ps4 is only making it better.

First time playing the Yakuza series, really enjoy it.

If you were a fan of the original PS2 classic you will absolutely LOVE the new additions to the remake. It ties perfectly into Yakuza 0 and the new "Majima Everywhere" mechanic is hilarious. I don't wanna spoil the game so all I'll say is the new story additions are great. This should be an instant pickup for anyone with a PS4.

Greatest game after Yakuza 0, would highly recommend.

If you are a fan of the series, or new to it, this is the remake of the original Yakuza. Plenty of activities to do here, and a pretty decent story. Either this or Yakuza 0 would be a great starting off point.

One of the best underworld stories this generation. Great, violent combat but also a variety of side activities like karaoke, mahjong, dating sim, custom kart racing, and a batting cage

Great sale price and comes with a nice steel book.

A great remake that has become the definitive way to play the 1st title in the series. But don't worry if you haven't played Yakuza 0 yet. This is still a good starting place and at a cheaper price to boot.

I picked this game up on a whim after reading about its high praise on game review sites and its prequel, Yakuza 0. This series as a whole offers something for every gamer, a great story, TONS of activities and side missions, and engaging gameplay; and its fun to boot. I'd definitely recommend.

This is mty first experience with the yakuza games and you can tell its from a prior generation of consoles but it's still great. Graphics are good story is good and there is so much available to do.

This is a great game, with great combat styles with a cheesy over the top story with a great upgrade tree. It is Japanese audio only so be prepared to read subtitles. But, if you can get past that then youre in for a great remake from a series that totally deserves more love in America.

Have heard much about the series since its debut back on the PlayStation 2, but never had a real chance to play until now. I can see the tremendous appeal in this series. You're dumped into a digital slice of a fictional Japanese city and given a wide-arrangement of activities to occupy your time with. From gambling, running errands, and of course trading blows with thugs using just about everything that isn't nailed down. The way players can bash their way through goons using items that range from practical like baseball bats to cartoonish weapons like an entire motorcycle makes the action as satisfying as it is hilariously over the top. While some may be put off by the Japanese-only audio, it really makes the most sense with the game's setting and semi-realistic setting compared to the likes of a more anime-styled game like Persona or any JRPG where the choice between original Japanese and English dubs allow for a choice of colorful dialogue.

Awesome steel book at a very nice price. The game has super fun combat and story. It’s just two dudes that need to settle business by taking off their shirts and having a fist fight.

The yakuza series is among the best. The story is so much more fluid and coherent than any other open world game but still has the same variety of activities and places to explore.

Like the game but didn't finish it originally, steelbook sold me on getting it. It was better than I even thought. Will get the next yakuza remake if a steelbook is included also
