Considering it originally released 12 years ago, this is a fantastic modernization of the first Yakuza game.

but, it is limited in scope. The combat is fluid, but the map size feels small to modern games.

This is a good storied culture game. It is like Grand Theft Auto gameplay. Open world game.

Was at a reasonable price and my friend really enjoys the Yakuza series so i bought it for him. Not sure how the game itself is but for the price it was at, its hard to be mad.

I've heard so much about this game so I decided to buy when it dropped to $10 with the steelbook. It's fun and feels like other games in the same genre, but based in Japan. It's cool because they nailed the environment and looks great. I lived in Japan for 5 years and it brought me back, minus the whole fighting part. Japan is pretty peaceful in general.

Never played a Yakuza game before so I decided to start with these remastered versions. The combat is fantastic. You get an almost visceral satisfaction at beating up the enemies with your fists or anything else you find handy like street signs, bicycles, etc. The updated graphics are solid but you can tell they are no quite up to modern standards. The main con is the game can become somewhat repetitive.

This game is so much fun in so many different ways. I love the fighting mechanics, the story and all the side quests you can go on. You'd expect that a game like this would be super serious but there have been times where I bust out laughing because of something or someone in this game.

Since the first time I booted one of these games up I've been enamored. Slowly becoming a top 5 series.

Steel book is nice. Found it kinda difficult so played it on easy..

This is an excellent remake by Sega and the Yakuza series!! Completely remastered visuals and a much smoother control scheme bring this PS2 original back to life on PS4!

Yakuza 0 set the bar high for the franchise, and while Kiwami doesn't surpass it in terms of narrative, it improves the already fun and snappy combat and adds another layer of intrigue to the world of Yakuza. Start with 0, but then pick this up, because it's excellent.

This is the first Yakuza game I've played and I am really enjoying it. The battle system of being able to switch between styles is great, the action is over the top, and you can smash street goons with a full sized motorcycle like it was nothing. How could it get better than that?

If you liked Yakuza 0, you will like this game. It is a nice shorter addition to the Yakuza series.

I have to say as a newcomer to the series, the visuals are amazing should have played sooner. 5/5

I have never played a game in the Yukuza series so i figured this would be a good place to start.

Recommend this game, even for newcomers to the series (it's a remake of the original)

I’ve beaten this game on the PS2 years ago and after playing Yakuza 0. I jumped right into Kawami. This bridges nicely and the addition of more Majima in the game is a huge boost after getting a deep taste of the character 0. Defiantly an improvement over the original.

Yakuza Kiwami is a great start to the series. Although it's my first Yakuza game, the game is one of the best PS4 game I've ever owned. Kiwami may be a remake, but it shows the dedication that the studio has for their fans. It is highly recommended for firsttimer to the series.

Yakuza Kiwame is a remake of the first Yakuza game. The first Yakuza might be the best one in the series so this remake is one to get. The steelbook case is really impressive looking and the whole package costs half of what a new game normally costs. There's no reason not to get this

Great game! Long story line is good. No fps drops. Wish there's more city I can travel to tho.
