Amazing remake of the ps2 original upgraded for the ps4

This is the first time we're able to play the original Yakuza with the original Japanese dialogue and with modern technological and quality of life updates. What a time to be alive, right? Steelbook is a very nice touch as well.

This is the yakuza 1 remake because yakuza 0 was such a success even if you played the first one id pick this one up too they remade the fighting system added tons of new sidemissions and even have majima everywhere system!

I love the Yakuza series and this remake of the original is no different. It stays true to the classic while providing a graphical overhaul and incorporating gameplay enhancements to modernize the gameplay mechanics!

This one is harder for me to review as I have not played it very much and I have never played any of the Yakuza game series. I basically purchased it to see if I would like the series and because it was on sale. I collect video games whether I play them or not, so it wasn't that big of as deal to me.

I thoroughly enjoyed the game. It is shorter than the game this remake’s engine comes from, Yakuza 0, but is still a fun way to relive the first game with fun new substories and much more Majima.

Beating up thugs have never been so fun! This game is great! Cool main characters and awesome side missions! Also, plenty of mini games to keep you occupied! Lots and lots of things to do! Awesome game, A++

The combat is slightly improved form Zero, but everything else feels lacking, especially the story which doesnt kick off until the final 2 chapters. Still worth a playthrough if you're a fan and want to see where the series got its start

This game is so cheap right now, you have to get it. I had never played any of the entries in Yakuza and look forward to starting with this one. The gameplay doesn't feel as dated as you'd think.

Haven't played Kiwami yet, but I just finished beating Yakuza 0, and that was a great entry to the series so, I can't wait to play Kiwami! I also love the design of the Steelbook and sleeve.

I love this game on the PS2 despite the horrible loading time. They fixed most of the problems with the PS4 version in this remake. The vehicle chase level is still annoying though.

Yakuza: Kiwami is an awesome game. It really got me hooked on the series. Awesome gameplay, stunning visuals, and great voice acting. The game is in Japanese, but there are captions.

The game is a lot of fun, very excited for future installments in the series. The steelbook case is an awesome collectors item, especially if you love the game series. Great quality.

Ryu ga Gotoku Kiwami (in Japan), better known as Yakuza Kiwami in the West, is a remake of the first Yakuza. It is a game of action and adventure and that has as protagonist the monstrous, invincible, fighting against evil person's and always with the good people, Kazuma Kiryu.

This was on sale for $9.99 and I had a $5 off coupon, so I thought I'd give it a try. You are a bit limited on what you can do, it seems (i.e not as open world as some games), at least at first (I haven't played enough to get very far into it) but it is a fun game

A blast from the past and it was brought to my attention by my friendly Best Buy associate. I didn't even know this was dropping but as an old school gamer what a pleasant surprise!

I loved the original and the story still holds up over the years. This time the added many features from yakuza 0 such as the 3 fighting stances and they added funny Majima cameos.

Love the game. Fun if you're having a stressful day at work and feel like going beast mode... This is the game to play!!! Especially the karaoke mode!!! Highly recommend!!

This was my favorite game back in ps2 era and now playing this on ps4 its just amazing . Smooth frame rate and resolution is perfect definitely must buy if you own a ps4

For only $30 you get a complete game, that also happens to be great, as well as a beautiful steelbook case. Even without the steelbook though, this game is still worth it. Get it.
