This is a good entry point I'm sure, but I sorta dropped off couple hours in because of its new mechanics. Got pretty frustrated how boss characters were invincible unless you upgraded a specific node.

The game came at the right price to get my attention, but the Yakuza crime series is not for me. Gameplay is ok, but I can't get into the story. Standard price is affordable enough, so it may be worth a curiosity purchase.

I liked the game, but found it a bit shallow. There are other things to do besides the beat'em up sections, but I found the story a bit predictable and long winded in sections. Overall I thought it was okay.

I like this type of game typically and I like elements of this one, but I do not care for the very limited oprions given the player. It is way to constrained for my tastes.

Not my style of game and felt like very dated gameplay. Thankfully inexpensive and was able to give to a friend.

If you've played Yakuza 0, the engine is a more polished version of it. Kiwami is a HD remaster of the first Yakuza that came out on PlayStation 2. Kiwami brings in more content and influence from the past Yakuza games. The story is exactly the same as the first Yakuza, movements and all, so you get to enjoy the original story, which was written by Hase Seishū, a well known Japanese novelist, who specializes in writing Yakuza crime novels. I'd recommend this game to anybody who's interested in a dramatic story, as well as get a couple good laughs on the side. If you're interested in a game that plays similar to Shenmue and Grand Theft Auto, you don't wanna miss the chance to snag Yakuza Kiwami. It'll keep you entertained for hours.

It's basically a fighting game with a storyline. Not really my thing. I had hoped it would be more GTA like, and it's not.

This is not a bad game. The story is really weird and the game play is not your average type.

anyone who is fan of this genre will love this game. once started it is hard to put down.

Ive never played the yakuza franchize but i think im gana start with this game.

It's a good game but I wished it would say in some place in the package that the language is only in English close captioned and all they speak is Japanese... and the letters are so small even though I have a big screen TV the letters are small and there's no way to make them bigger

The steel book case is very nice but the game itself is not that good. No fault of Best Buy, it is just the game. My Best Buy experience picking up the game was excellent.

Horrible old school graphics & character movement & the game is in Japanese! I dont want an action game where I have to read sub titles throughout! Its such a poor game Best Buy wouldnt even accept it back on a trade-in here in Florida & it was only a week after being purchased. It was marketed well but nothing good to say about the game itself. Came with cool packaging though!

The steelbook is beautiful! And the yakuza franchise is one of the best out there, I enjoyed this game alot and played it multiple times. There's not enough words to describe how much I truly enjoyed playing this game.

This is remake of the first game. Takes place in fictional city Kamurocho. As Kazuma Kiryu you will run around doing small fetch quest, fighting goons, collecting secrets, and diving into the multiple mini games Yakuza Kiwami has to offer. The story is filled with mystery and intrigue around a little girl somehow tied to a large amount of money stolen from one of the families. The gameplay and controls are solid. Combat is simple at first but as you unlock abilities it becomes a complex but satisfying dance.
