For the most part, they work alright. But when they stop they stop without a warning. They have bad connectivity issues, would just stop working (no lights, no feedback) and reset on it's own terms. I would not recommend this product.

Recently Updated all my deadbolts to smart ones , so I bought different brands that worked with Homekit , Alexa etc. This one is one of the most unresponsive, unreliable and slow (to connect) out of all of them. It’s great when it works but it’s so unreliable that it’s not worth it, I returned it

I'm only giving the lock 1 store because I'm not able to leave zero stars on the review. The lock itself had a nice feel to it but what a terrible experience trying to troubleshoot this thing. After spending over an hour trying to troubleshoot this lock on our own and then spending another hour with Yale's support team, it was clear that the lock was defective or being a newer version of the lock came with a few kinks that need to be worked out with their software. Not to mention the support rep really couldn't explain what was wrong with the syncing of the app & lock and requested to call back with additional support. Of course at that point now you are in danger of missing their call. The only thing that seemed to work correctly was the automated post call survey you receive from Yale. The instructions for setup are totally different in the manual than what the yale customer service rep provided. Please save your money and get another device. I probably should not have made the purchase when I realized there were no reviews on this lock; Lesson learned! Will be returning this lock when I get back from my work trip.

Good quality smart door lock expensive and not so easy to set up
We do our best to provide an easy install experience for consumers. If you ever have installation issues, we would be happy to help. The lock as a standalone is a Bluetooth device that requires a connection with your phone. We do offer modules that will allow for the WiFi capability.

So after my first Yale Assure Lock died after only a couple of years I made the mistake of replacing it with the 2 version and it’s a huge downgrade and the new one has already kicked the bucket not 6 months later. Started being unresponsive and beeping constantly for no reason. Do yourself a favor a avoid these locks at all costs.

This is the worse item I have purchased in Best Buy, they sell the item without the wifi module, extremely difficult to set the configuration and almost burned my hand with the battery temperature. I don’t recommend this item because there is not relationships between the price and the product quality.

Currently on the phone woth yale as the piece that turns the deadbolt is cheaply made and easily falls off i would recommend slipping Yale as a brand and getting another type of smart lock the customer service has been atrocious and not having a working deadbolt is the last thing anyone in the household needs to worry about

I have wasted so much time dealing with Yale over this buggy product. Auto-lock randomly disables itself and the activity log does not record events reliably. These are core features and they need to work 100% of the time. Yale support has been downright incompetent.
