Note that a magnet/sensor has to be put in above the existing lock hole (meaning I had to create another opening).

Battery life is terrible

It had decent reviews, and honestly has a great look to it. My complaint is that it runs through batteries like crazy. We do have to change them once a month, and if you don’t catch the music it makes (every once in a while) to let you know the battery is low, you could be locked out of your house. We hardly ever use the app, but if you happen to use it there will be a message indicating low batteries, but again we never need to use the app.

Refined product with good feel

The lock seems solid overall. The keypad has a nice feel and I like the feedback it gives when keys are present. I have used two other solutions in the past but plan to buy more Yale locks going forward.

From what I understand it is a pretty neat function to have integrated into a google home ecosystem, have to have Yale App as well though.

You can set your own code and set up codes for other users and you can also set temporary codes for friends and family. But the best is being able to use your iOS device & Apple Watch to unlock. Also very easy to setup with the app and HomeKit Automations.
