Drains Batteries
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lock worked great for about 2 years but now it rapidly drains the batteries. This lock takes 4 double A batteries and has lately been burning through them within 2-4 days. Right now I don't replace the batteries and have a lock that I can't unlock from the outside. I reached out to Best Buy support but was told I'd need to bring the lock in and they'd have to repair. This is an understandable solution but when I asked what am I supposed to do with my front door when I uninstall the lock and it's in for repair, I wasn't given any answer just that that is unfortunate. I don't think it's reasonable to expect people to go without their front door lock for an extended period of time for a repair like this.

I prefer the August Wifi Smart Lock, this one made by Yale is so so..tried to connect the lock to the door and a spring popped off and the lock couldnt be installed. price to expensive to have a spring pop off so quickly, and installation is a pain.
