Broken unit and terrible Yale customer service

The unit that I received has never worked as intended. After installation and downloading the Yale Access app (iOS), during setup the unit never proceeds past the "Handing Calibration" phase. Repeated attempts to complete the handing calibration display one message noting that the lock is calibrated, only to be followed immediately by a new prompt that the lock still requires calibration. Moreover, pressing any button on the exterior keypad of the lock automatically re-attempts the lock handing procedure. Yale customer service was terrible in responding to my repeated attempts to get a replacement unit under warranty. After a dozen or so back-and-forths with various Yale representatives, I was finally told that I would receive a new lock. However, Yale only bothered to send one replacement part (not the complete unit that I requested). After installation with the new interior lock housing the same problem persists, and now Yale customer service no longer bothers to respond to my messages. I'm out $225 and dozens of trying trying to get this lemon of a device to work. Take my advice: Do not waste your money on a product from a company like Yale that has terrible customer service.

Easy to install, works well with HomeKit and easy to assign codes to others.

After a year of ownership, Yale Locks are no longer compatible with Android devices. Customer Service recommends getting an iPhone to resolve this issue.

Yale smart locks are the worst. I bought three and they say they work with Apple home but it is impossible to get them working with bluetooth. Save yourself and wait for a different brand to support matter
