Can’t connect to HomeKit and bad customer support
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After a few months the lock stopped connecting to HomeKit and it was draining the batteries. I put in new batteries and the batteries went dead after two days. I had to pull out the wireless module. The worse part is that Yale customer support is absolutely terrible. It’s been almost 2 months and they haven’t sent me a replacement module. I have many smart devices and many of them of had problems but at least the companies that built them provided great customer service and fixed the issues promptly. Yale customer support is by far the worst I’ve encountered.

Poor battery life
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My husband and I bought this lock in Feb. 2018 and the batteries have died not once, not twice, but FIVE TIMES since we installed it! Since the lock doesn’t have a place to insert a key, you have to have a special battery to hold to the lock to open the door so you can get inside to change the batteries. We found this out after being locked out and our dog was stuck inside until we ran to the store and purchased the special battery to open the door. Awful! Barely 1 year old.

Never buy it!

I have an apartment overseas and its a constant problem for me. Not recommended....

Not true that you can access from everywhere

Do not buy this lock!!

You will be on the phone in the rain with a customer service rep who won’t have any answers and won’t pay for the locksmith. The attitude will be “sucks for you”.
