Great to not need a key. Not 5 stars because I can't get the auto unlock to work. Easy set up.

We needed this lock so my kids can use easily. It is pretty easy to install. Took about an hour. Easy to operate so good.

This is a really good addition for smart homes integration. This is my second one and they perform well...

It takes a while to set up but it’s very easy to use as when get a set it up, Alexa can open and close it .

I was disappointed that Nest and Yale no longer have a partnership, but this lock is very nice and high quality.

I paid Best Buy to install this unit. Unfortunately they didn’t bring a tool to cut my door frame to allow the deadbolt to lock. So, they refunded the installation fee and I paid a Handyman to install the lock. It cost me $40 and took him at 10 minutes to install including cutting the hole larger in the door frame. However, that fun the lock has performed perfectly and I received notifications when my neighbor entered my house during my absence and another notification when he left! I love this technology and after 3 weeks I have had no issues.

Good product! Feels very solid and looks pretty sophisticated. Has numeric pad built in as well as key slot for easy access.

The August lock is amazing. We are using it for our Airbnb property and our guests love it too! It was easy to install, I highly recommend this product!

The good news: the lock is decent and the technical support is great. The bad news: you need a lot of it, and a lot of time. The material is poorly documented. It looks great, but if you see it for the first time, it is a confusing mess. The software situation is worse, maybe because Yale is traditionally not a high-tech company used to validating its products on test users. There are (at least) 3 different programs. You think that for the Assure lock the Yale Assure app would be appropriate, but it cannot be used. There's another one, the Yale Access app, which is at least partially usable for the Assure lock. But it doesn't offer full functionality. If you want full functionality, you need a third-party app (August). The lock is advertised as a WiFi lock with Bluetooth, but if you thought you get a lock with WiFi or Bluetooth, then you're wrong. It uses Z-Wave to get to a Z-Wave bridge that needs to sit in a wall socket less than 10 feet from your door. Too bad if you don't have one. Yale needs badly to improve the customer experience, and not by having its support team bear the brunt.

The app work great in opening and closing the lock away from home. It coincides with the echo system also. The biggest problem is that it does not allow a guest code as advertised. Everyone uses the same code. My doorbell camera offsets this deficit by allowing the ability to open and close the door onsite. You are able to set up one door instead of all doors.

This was difficult to install for someone who has never installed any type of door lock before. It took me a while but eventually I got it in. My only real negative is that even when I leave the door open it locks itself again (with door sensor installed). So I keep forgetting to unlock before closing and it has dented my door frame. I even turned off the automatic locking feature on the app and it still does it.

Easy to use! Love that you can press the code on the pad or use your cellphone.

Door lock operates smooth and the install was very easy. Only took about 3 minutes to complete.

This is a great product! I can let anyone into the house on a one time basis and delete the code right after. Great for a dog walker.
