This lock works great! We bought a 20+ yr old house that had separate old brass locks for knob and deadbolt. After doing sone research, I picked this one. I was afraid of the “look” of this type of lock, but purchased a separate handle and lock (just for the handle part) from Lowe’s for $60 and it made all the difference. Our front door is now good looking, functional and smart. Setup was super easy and no issues for the past month since we got it. Touching the logo to wake the screen or to lock it was a good tip I learned. Maybe I missed it in the directions?

Got the one with the key to have the backup if ever needed. It helps to watch the a You Tube video to prep for installation. Hardware seems decent in quality and easy to install. The programming is mostly easy as well. The only issue is with the August Smart that comes with it. It’s basically a WiFi signal extender. It is easy to setup but the signal test at the end of the process shows that it failed. However, everything seems to work fine even when I’m miles away. Someday I will call Technical Support but I want to try it for a few weeks to identify any other bugs.

I heard stories about the challenges with installing these locks with some modifications required but had absolutely no issue myself. The only bummer was the lack of support to install the phone app with my iPhone 6 being too old to support the latest iOS level. I also need to push the door a little to have the deadbolt go through properly which means the ability to remotely lock it is out the window. That is more on my end with the door not solidly seating but it is still something I was looking forward to having if needed like when I forget to lock the door after leaving.

Love this lock! Superbly packaged with easy to follow instructions on installation. Works wonderfully with my Alexa to lock and unlock on command. I was able to set up each family member with an access code so I can see who is coming and going at all times on my app. Very handy when trying to figure out who left the door open so the puppy could escape . Best purchase I have made this year. Only thing that could be better is the wireless setup - as the app would not recognize any of the serial numbers it wanted to use for setup. Got through it but it should have been easier.

This smart lock looks amazing! Was easy to install, connect, and use. I love that I can set codes and get notifications when they are used. Auto lock feature with app is great if you forget sometimes.

Best purchase I’ve made. The lock is super easy to install and being able to give my friends codes that deactivate after a certain amount of time is incredible

I purchased this Yale Smart Lock after the one I had for about 8 years stopped working. I think it could've stopped working because the cheap batteries I used leaked into the device. Anyway, this is a great lock that works well with the app. My only complaint is that I am unable to pair it with my Alexa show. I am pretty tech savvy and don't usually have problems connecting things that should work together so I am scratching my head over this one. Nonetheless, this is a great lock that you will be pleased with.

Got this while it was on sale for black friday. Easy to install, but you might want to have another person helping you. Make sure you measure before you start drilling and/or installing the lock! It doesn't fit every door. The app was super easy to use. Plugged the batteries in and it started working!! Only bad thing was the lock wouldn't lock all the way so it kept beeping. Tried to adjust the strike plate, tightened the door, adjusted the lock itself, nothing seemed to work. I finally just took a file and filed the strike plate down until the lock locked all the way. problem solved! Overall 5 stars!

I installed this at my front door and it works very well. The product is high quality and it is easy to set up. I would recommend this to anyone!!

Still getting the hang of it so my opinion might change but for the moment the product seems OK but lacking in polish. Physical installation was fine but you need to download a different app for visuals and it didn’t have this model in the data base. Printed instructions were missing details on the lock sensor installation which is a glaring oversight. There were another bit for wireless or Bluetooth that came with zero instruction. Yale should have done a better job.

Build quality is good. A little complicated to set up because I had to reset the lock from scratch first. I like that it talks to you through the process. The deadbolt itself is slightly thinner than my existing Schlage lock but it's still pretty secure. Took me about 45 minutes to install and then used the Yale app - you have to choose that you don't have a code or serial number and then choose the proper lock from the list. I like that it supports Homekit.

We installed these locks on all of our exterior doors - The installation was pretty simple and they came with super long screws to attach the strike plate to the frame, not just the molding. The locks are a little temperamental if you don't have everything perfectly lined up - This took a bit of work, but after that they work great. Setting up the WiFi bridges was super easy and HomeKit and Alexa automatically detected the devices. We also setup integration with August and SmartThings, so we have automation such as automatic locking at bedtime, or alerting if the door is left ajar.

Bought 4 of these for our new house. Everyone thought I went overboard because these are on the pricier side. Haven't installed it fully because we don't have internet yet, but I did activate the keypad locally on the unit. I'm happy with what I see so far, it's been useful since I don't want to hand out keys to the contractors working on the house. After I get this online and use the rest of the features I can update this review.

Works well but has some issues automatically opening when I come home. I sometimes have to unlock with the keypad or my phone. The auto locking feature isn’t always timed correctly and locks quicker than the settings. Would probably save money next time and buy the cheaper model that doesn’t Auto Unlock when you come home. Other than that, I’m happy we switched to a smart lock!

A very high-quality smart lock, I bought this one for my new house and everyone in my family love the new lock, easy to manage and it looks like a million bucks.

I love the lock. It makes it convenient to be able to not worry about having a house key when I enter my house. I discovered I was able to set the lock to lock automatically after my specified amount of time and unlock automatically when it detects my return home from my phone. You need to have the app on your phone. This lock has a bridge that I thought I could use my phone remotely to open the unlock or lock the door but it is not working that way. This is why I gave it 4 stars

If you aren’t handy like me, I highly recommend the geek squad to install this. A few challenges (missing codes, for code) came up during the install that I wouldn’t have been able to figure out myself. Product is great so far. The one downside is sometimes the homekit recognition doesn’t work. But having to use the keypad or yale app instead is no big deal. I like that there are several options (key, keypad, siri, yale app) to work the lock.

Awesome lock and easy to install. Very secure and functional to feel safe in your own home. Glad I found on sale, wish I would have bought two more.

I went for the Yale lock because I wanted the option to use a key. Easy to install, for the most part happy with this product. Right now it takes me a little more effort to close the door and it’s easier manually than using the app, but I know that I have to do some work on my door because the knob doesn’t turn so smoothly into the hole in the frame. Once I set that up, I should be good to go.
