I did enjoy this because of the convenience of the keypad and having a key as a back up in case the batteries die (yes it has batteries but last very long) but the bridge was annoying disconnecting I returned and got the newer model but it doesn’t have a key.

I wasn't quite ready to choose a lock without a key, so this choice was perfect. Very easy to install and connect to wifi. Coming in and out of the house is a breeze. When I am close to the door, as long as I have my phone the door unlocks. Going out of the door, with a wave of the hand against the keypad the door locks. What I like best is the key less feature for my children. It's so much easier to create the virtual key, no more lost keys!!

Excellent smart lock and security for you home, easy to install and setup with August app.

With several break-ins in our area, I was looking for a way to keep the deadbolt to our house regularly locked without handing out a bunch of keys to my kids, neighbors, family, etc. I love, love, love this lock. Firstly, it was so easy to install. I'm a 40-something semi-handy mom and did it myself in about 30 minutes. The lock is also easy to operate and the app is great. My kids now argue over who gets to lock and unlock the door when we come and go!

I’m very happy with this product. At first I was skeptical about it because several months ago we bought a similar product that didn’t work on my phone but it did on my husbands. But that was not the case with this one. It’s really easy to install and we had no problem putting on mine and my husbands phones. It’s really nice to just pull in the garage and my device automatically unlocks my door. I absolutely love it and highly recommend it to everyone.

The reason for this review is the lock frequently disconnects from the bridge and remote use of the lock is impossible. This becomes more inconvenient if you’re using this on a short term rental listing or need to let someone who isn’t already registered as guest into the home while you’re away. This wasn’t a huge issue since the code will still work without your phone being connected to the bridge and if all else fails, you have the key as a backup which I really like as a feature. It’s actually why I purchased this particular lock. However, other reason I chose this lock was to be able to use/grant remote access to the home and that feature seems to have some unresolved issues making reliable remote access impossible I gave it three stars.

Product works great and is easy to install and use

Easy to install and setup. Didn’t have to wait forever on the phone for a support person either. I’m able to use it from my phone so is my fiancé. We also have our own codes also and it allows you to activate a temporary guest code. You can see who goes in and out the house by which code is used (beneficial if you don’t have a doorbell camera). Two apps also. Whichever is your preference.

Purchased Yale smart doorlock and was installed by 3rd party company Mastec from our Best Buy tech plan. Kevin Andrerson from Mastec did a very great job setting up and installing the lock, as well as working w/ out front door issues. We are very pleased that Best Buy sent him for our Home Automation setup and installation. We will request to work with him again in the future.

This has been the best door lock I have ever purchased. It completely works with Google home and is so much easier to use than any others that I've had. I highly recommend that you follow the instructions step by step in order to ensure that it works accurately and properly. It has made it easy to allow others one time access to my home.

Excellent lock, great quality, nice looking, great features, easy to install

Excellent product, top of the line...thank you Best Buy for the great price. I compared pricing with over 3 other options and Best Buy was the best. This lock is the Cadillac of door-locks. Not only does it come with the best technology connectivity options (Bluetooth, Alexa and WIFI), it’s also pretty slick looking, it’s actually beautiful. Definitely a must for all Smart Homes.

Lock installation was easy but had trouble with August connect trying to connect to wifi. I returned and exchanged it for another one after I spent a day of unsuccessful connection to wifi. Has same issue with new exchanged one and then I tried with different phone and wifi connection finally worked. I should’ve probably tried with another phone instead of exchange. Overall good product.

This lock is amazing. It is a very "first world problem" to complain about taking keys everywhere with you but this lock absolutely gets the job done. Easy installation and easy setup with the phone app. Just click unlock and it does the job. Your phone died? No problem, just key in your code and bam, door open. Cant see myself going back to a standard lock and key.

I had an August lock before. I was not at all happy with it. Very disappointed with the customer service and function of the lock. I has told that the software and firm were meant for IOS devices and does not work well with Android. So I thought I would give this bad boy a try. It matched perfectly with my existing double door handles. Very solid feel and well built. Here is the kicker, it uses the August app to manage it!!! Yale does not have a management software for this lock that works with Google or Amazon. I was a little worried. To my surprise even though it uses the August app, it works so much better than the August lock. None of the issues I had with the August lock are happening. the auto lock and auto unlock work 95% of the time, 100% with IOS. It is quick and responsive. Works with Google and Amazon no hub needed. It does come with 2 keys as a back up. Battery life seems to be better also. Going on 3 months with the Energizer Lithium AA batteries, with August they would of needed replacing by now. I'm very happy with the lock. I didn't give it 5 stars because it would of been nice to to use the August app.

Easy to install easy to used works great Good for the price

This product has improved my life immensely! I often return home with both hands and arms full (coffee tumbler, water bottle, work bag, etc), so I love not having to fiddle with keys, especially considering I own two cats who are perfecting their escape artist skills! The only downside is that the batteries need to be recharged every month or so, but it’s definitely not a dealbreaker.

Our physical therapist, occupational therapist, visiting nurses and bathers come at different times and hours. I can set up, amend or totally cancel anyone with just a moment’s notice. Plus our home health worker can come and go easily. Everyone has different access hours. After eight o clock... Everyone is locked out but the two of us.

It amazing product when it works without loosing wifi signal multiple times a day. Set up was also a bit annoying. Look for a better product before settling for this one.
