Once I got the WiFi/Bluetooth connections working, it is a great smart lock! The Doorsense and auto lock features are the best.

Great product overall. I had zero issues installing and everything needed was included. I have used this now for about 2 months and love the app. It’s nice to be able to unlock the door from wherever I am. Also using Siri to lock the door is nice for those lazy moments.

We loved the fact this not only have the keypad but also an app and hard key in case the electricity or internet went out. Cool little device. Never opt for a regular lock again! This bad boy will alert you when you've gone to bed without locking the door

This smart lock asthetically pleasing. It's a great lock to install. It's just that my door knob a bit smaller. Other than that it's a great lock to have for front door.

Everything seems good so far..only time is when auto unlock engages when I come home..most of time it works but not all the time..aside from that..it's almost perfect..easy install too

If you follow the instructions straight from the box, there is absolutely know way you will be able to get the smart features working. August / Yale or whatever they are called these days needs to update their instructions on getting this set up. It tells you to download the Yale access app before doing anything. Ok great, should be easy enough right? Nope. When you get to where it tells you to scan the product QR code, it is no where to be found. Not behind the cover, not on the device... but it is on a piece of paper for the Bluetooth module itself which you SHOULD install into the smart lock first! I wasted a good amount of time figuring that out. On top of that, the Yale Access app doesn't even work properly! You need to download the August app and set it up from there... but then there are NO clear instructions on which device to choose on setting up so I had to guess and use the 4th gen August lock. When you scan the QR code, it still won't work, I had to manually enter in the serial number of the Bluetooth module to get it to work. On top of that, getting Homekit to work is tricky too. When you set it up, you will (confirmed by other users as well) get an error when trying to add it to your smart home. You need to reboot your iphone and then add the device so it would detect it. Once that nightmarish process was complete, I was able to get everything working fine. The lock itself is high quality and the touch controls are great. August / Yale - get your act together and update your instructions and your app. Most people will get frustrated and will end up returning this!

I haven’t tried the wifi features yet but this smart lock is easy to install. The only thing is that sometimes you have to push the Yale button more than once for it to activate

I got this because I wanted a smart lock and this one was on clearance at nearly half the cost of other Yale smart locks. I now understand why. The installation was awful. The instructions were terrible. It’s very difficult to integrate the lock to your smart home. I was able to do it and the lock works as intended but if I had to do it again I’d save myself the hassle and get the newer model. I do like that this model has a physical key as a backup instead of having to find a random 9v battery if the lock dies, so that’s a plus.

This did not come with any setup instructions for the "smart" part of it. The only instructions that were included were for just setting up the lock itself (with no connection to an app). I downloaded the August app, but it was not intuitive as to how to set it up. I ended up calling the support number and they were able to walk me through it no problem. Save yourself some time and just call them to help. Otherwise, we are enjoying the lock. I do wish that you could add codes within the app without having to enter the person's phone number. Currently if you want to do this, you have to add the code directly on the lock and THEN you can see it in the app and manage it.

Sure is hard to connect to Nest Connect.... really stupid place to put the reset button. take it apart, take out batteries, unscrew the screws behind the batteries, put batteries back in, hold button on back...take batteries back out.. screws back in, batteries back in... SO... if your lock get's messed up and needs reset (which mine has 5 times so far) it is a crazy process. Works well when connected but dang, why make it so hard to reset! Have Nest Connect about 5 feet away, struggles to stay connected.

Works great , loved that I can open the from far and out of town! Only thing I didn’t like , was the battery life. Batteries went out pretty quick

Love the lock - we needed something that works for all our guests visiting. Easy to install - compatible with all the home automation (we use Google Home) but also has its own stand-alone app.

change my old lock for this and I do not regret it, easier to use and does not force you to buy other accessories to be able to use it with the cell phone

It is a very practical device. It alerts me right away when the door unlocks or locks. Super reliable. Make sure your internet connection is reliable as well. It was easy to install and fast to configure. Highly recommend

Lock was easy to install to replace existing deadbolt. Linked to phone easily and then the wi-fi module linked to the modem for internet access just as easily. I bought two locks and both are working great in a day rental application.

Lock works pretty well still trying to get it to connect to wifi but the Bluetooth works very well. Easy to install the lock itself but programming takes some time.

Lets me know when my son is home, and I can remotely lock/unlock as needed. Works well with my Ring alarm and doorbell systems. The most difficult part of installing it was removing the old lock, but otherwise was very simple to install.

I choose this because this has a door sense. This is extremely helpful to control the entry door in a remote location. Yale Access app is easy to use on my Android phone and Customer service was great.

We purchased this lock after reading reviews and we are not disappointed. We had another brand that failed and this was a replacement. This was easy to set and to add additional codes.

This product is very solid and has everything needed to install. I did this install myself and had no problems. There are step by step instructions on the app also an actual paper instructions included in your box.
