Hardware Setup is easy, follow instructions!

The only downfall was the process it took to connect to Apple Home and even its own app, Yale Lock. It disconnects every now and then from Wifi but will reconnect literally 5 seconds later. Other than that, we like it.

Reliable with the right batteries

I recommend getting the Duracell Optimum AA batteries for this product since with normal AA batteries they will get drained within 1-2 weeks. I have installed the Duracell optimum batteries a little more than a month ago and it’s still going strong since then!

Somewhat difficult

Many of my guest had issues with the lock jamming and not opening all the way. The screen also wouldn’t stay lit to allow enough time to enter the code. Would not recommend for elderly or anyone that’s not tech savvy.

I can easily let repairmen in and friends and family too even remotely. I also love that I can set temporary codes and give people access for a set amount of time when I have people coming to work on things or have house guests.
