    Nice lock, awful WiFi bridge.

The lock itself looks sleek and works well. But the WiFi bridge it comes with is designed very poorly. It will not secure a connection with a google Nest mesh network. The only way I could get it to connect was to create a guest network with no security, which is absurd. If you have a mesh network in your home, I would highly suggest staying away from this product.

The worst lock ever. I spent 10+ hours troubleshooting the wifi module. The support, app sucks. After reading multiple times on various website, blogs the app crapped out because of ios14 version. Also You have to go to multiple apps to configure and still doesn’t work

I could not install the lockset because my door was pre-drilled for a different dimension. I did not see that before I ordered the lock. Completely on me!

it gets points for design, style, craftsmanship, mechanical engineering and particularly the install set and accessories. Loses them all from the app and forced location monitoring that will cycle on or off wrong. Ive come back to my house without my phone or with it powered off and found the door unlocked when I know I locked it before leaving. And especially auto locking while the door is wide open or in motion to slam against the trim deadbolt out as you try to close the door.

I'd rate 0 starts if I could. For the safety of you and your family at home, please read this entire review. MULTIPLE phone calls and HOURS of work later… here we are. For MONTHS on end, we’ve been dealing with Yale & August lock tech issues. They were all bought “NEW”, but once calling August to get tech support, it’s always discovered they are NOT NEW. They’re returned… WHY? Because they didn’t work for the last person either! Since they have previous registered owners, they can’t be set up! This house has over 8 of these locks that were bought all at once and installed over time. The first two locks installed just fine. After that, every single lock had an issue. AND NO ONE WOULD ALLOW RETURNS! That’s over $2,000! Unacceptable! This company should be ashamed selling security systems that have ONE JOB but can’t even do that. Even when you get them to FINALLY work after being on the phone for hours with tech support, they still jam and beep all the time after constantly recalibrating all the time. Today alone I spent 2 hours with support fixing a lock after they sent us parts to fix the internal problem it had. That didn’t work (no surprise), so they’re going to send us more parts. DO NOT BUY these! They will NOT protect you in your home!

    Avoid at all Costs

This Yale Lock has been a nightmare. First there was constant module communication errors. This would render the lock useless until it was recalibrated. The app would say the lock is “unavailable” and you couldn’t get into the door unless you used a physical key, which wasn’t an option for me as I had tenants using passcodes to access the home. After hours and hours of phone support with Yale they agreed to send me a replacement unit. The replacement seemed to fix the issue for a week or so, until it began malfunctioning again. This time the lock would shut itself entirely off without any warning. Again locking my tenants out of their homes. The touchpad would not turn on or respond. If I could do it all over again I would go with a different brand. I wish I had never bought this Yale Assure Smart Lock.

Not recommending this product. I drains battery really bad. 4 AA batteries barely lasts one month and no alerts when batteries are near dead at all. You only know when lock is not functioning.

It is evident that neither those of Best Buy, those of Yale, or those of August, are bothered by the truth, those of Best Buy sell guarantees that cannot be sustained over time, replace with lower quality items or service, as in my case I had a Kwikset Premis, perfect for the service I needed at the door of my house, where the service provided by this lock is impeccable, it can be programmed remotely, open it, send codes, change and / or finally block all attributes. on the other hand they offered me a much lower quality, that is, the Premis has a cost of $ 229, and the Yale with Agust $ 240 and only serves to open and close from the same door, says in the HomeKit box or is compatible with Apple, and it is only a lie, it helps you to tell Siri open the door Being 3 meters away, that is, it is not true, so I say that it is better to buy a lock of $ 50 or less to meet the objective of this set. The best part is that to replace the service at Best Buy they offer me the exchange of this one for a more expensive one, I must pay $ 60 to obtain a promise that would be equal to the service of the Premis. I find this action somewhat inappropriate. I offered them to allow me to return this lock and to give me a gift card to make a purchase in the future and they tell me that it is not at that time or I lose all my dollars. I do not recommend to anybody. It’s awful. We must understand that Best Buy is an electronics store. audio and TV computers, nothing more

Hardware looks solid, but after 2 units and 2 smart phones trying, their own app couldn't set up the smart lock. Followed their crappy app instructions and when it went to connect to their weave unit, their app infinitely gives an "we don't know what went wrong" error. Look online. Their software and app is 100% garbage. Yale is not a software company

Purchased to use with apple homekit. This item does everything except that right now. Some sort of bug that August/Yale have sent to development to see if they can find a fix. Otherwise love the item just spent like $100 more fore something I didn’t really get. If they fix the homekit problem it would be 5 stars.

Two stars for the lock itself working and having straightforward installation instructions. But there is absolutely no information on how to connect it to the app. I tried calling them for support and the wait time was 30+ minutes, tried chat and had to battle my way through a bot before finally getting a person that proceeded to make me wait 5-10 minutes between each response.
