I have several electronic door locks and this is by far my favorite. The instructions are easy to follow and connecting my phone and WiFi to it was seamless. The keypad takes a little getting used to, but works fine when you learn to use light pressure. The batteries are easy to get to and the ability use with a key is a bonus. I like the fact it comes with a sensor to notify if the door is left open. The app is simple to use and you can pair with Alexa to operate with voice commands. The doggle to connect to your WiFi network needs to plugged into an outlet fairly close to your door.

Right out of the box I knew this would be a difficult setup. Every time I have replaced my front door lock since I have owned my house has been a daunting task and this was no different. I am not sure what it is, but my small home projects always seem to hit speed bumps. In this case the hole was slightly off and I could not align all 3 pieces needed to properly install the lock. After running to the hardware store and buying a rounded file, I was able to get everything to match up. I then booted up the unit with the batteries and there was a dead front display. After a few minutes of re-reading instructions and reinstalling the batteries, I decided to take the unit apart. The main wiring harness was not completely connected. My fault. After that it lit up like a Christmas tree. I set up a master code, which was very easy and my lock was fully functional from a "dumb" standpoint. I could use my code to unlock the lock and it was operating very smooth. Now the "smart" part. I setup the lock via the August app and it was surprisingly smooth. It found the lock, let me calibrate it and setup the door sensor. I was surprised, I thought it would have a few hiccups at least but no, perfect. I was then able to use the app to lock/unlock and setup functions like auto lock and things like that. You can also see the history of who has unlocked the door with your defined codes. I really think it is simple and efficient to use. The smart features seemed to be working perfect, but I was not sure what to do with the plug in brick. After trying to enable it with Alexa my questions was answered. It is required to be plugged in so you can use with Alexa. Let me explain... The small AC brick is called the August Connect. You simply plug it in, and select "add device" in the app. Once connected you can open the Alexa app and discover the lock. You can then lock and unlock your door via voice command. If you choose to unlock with voice command you will have to setup a 4 digit voice confirmation code. This is a bit risky so use at your own caution. Overall this lock has been running very smooth with almost no issues. Once in a while the lock will show "not connected" in the app, but will then connect after a few seconds. It has not caused me any issues. The locking mechanics are very smooth and the app and Alexa functions are working excellent. I will highly recommend this lock to anyone looking to make their life easier.

I am very happy with the August Assure Lock. I love Alexa control. And you can also set up temporary keys for family and visitors. The door sense app is very nice. Installation was easy but I'm kinda handy. It's very versatile with the app you can lock and unlock from anywhere. I am getting another for my patio entrance. I am an android guy but it also worked well with the wife's iPhone as well.

This lock meets my needs perfectly. It allows you to set up multiple codes of variable lengths (4-8 digits) and change them easily. It does not use physical keys, which eliminates all concerns about picking and bumping. It has external terminals for a 9V battery so that it can still be operated from the outside if the batteries die. The deadbolt includes a free-rotating "saw proof" cylinder. I was able to replace my existing deadbolt in less than 15 minutes with no tools beyond a screwdriver. It fits standard deadbolt openings without adjustment. The instructions were well written. In addition to what I consider the critical features, the designers put a lot of thought into the little touches. There are some nice options that can be configured, including different volumes of audio feedback and an optional LED status indicator on the inside. The device is simple to install, simple to set up, and simple to use, while providing far better security than even a high-end key lock.

Yale has done it again! This is not my first rodeo with this brand and the 2nd time around was so much easier and better. The features on this lock are amazing as it has passcodes, sharing of codes, voice assistant controls such as Google, Siri and Alexa. Personally, I have employed Google Assistant as it works with my other lock from Yale. I honestly thought that adding this additional lock would cause confusion; however, the two seem to integrate well without any interference. The lock itself is aesthetically beautiful as the Satin Nickel finish coordinates well with my door. However, its robust features are what make this thing work greatly. I truly feel an extra measure of protection in my home with this lock. I especially love that it does have a key input just in case I may need it as well. Great job Yale on making a product that not only beautifies the home but provides that extra safety measure!

I was pretty intimidated by this set up at first but surprisingly it was very quick. Hardware installed in about 15 minutes using just a screw driver. Luckily I have a pretty basic lock set up already so it fit right in. The soft ware part of the set up took me about 40 minutes. I tend to attempt setups of electronics without the instructions but I carefully read the ones included and it was simple and helpful. This lock looks and feels very sturdy and well made. It claims to be “saw proof” but I’d prefer not to test that out. It’s very reassuring that it comes with 2 keys as a back up in the instance of an electronic failure. I’d love to get this lock for all of my exterior doors!

Had this lock for 4 years, not sure if there has been any updates but I just been having issues ever since I got it. It worked better the first year but this lock now drains the batteries in about a month. The wifi connection is horrible since the start. For the price I never thought this product was worth it. I think enough is enough and it's about time I ditch this lock. As far as features and when it worked, it worked great. There are just too many technical issues and too many times I had to replace the batteries to recommend this product. Hopefully those issues are resolved in a newer version.

Great lock but year 2 having troubles with it. Wish total tech support helped out better

Its great !!! But sometimes it syas “ smart lock not responding “ if im on wifi its a hit or miss sometimes but its cool. I really think resetting my wifi router and oulling the batteries out will fix this issue. I know i once called tech support, the girl was a little rude in the sense she didnt have patinece but was able to help me woth connections, theres a special code to reset it.

I love this item and I will recommend it to anyone and I didn’t know that would appreciate it as much as I do. It works perfectly for my home and I feel more secure than I ever had. I don’t why I waited so long to get my smart lock and I will buy again.

Easy to use. Nice sleek look. Customizable. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

A bit pricey, but works very well. The interface can be a bit confusing, as every company wants to give you the app to control the lock. I use ADT and Google Home, along with the Yale app, and all is well.

Have to recalibrate every 3-6 months then after 3 years it broke. Way to expensive to only last 3 years.

Technician was unable to get the phone app to sync before I left town. So I am not able to change access codes remotely.

The deadbolt seems to bend quite a bit when slamed. Why does it slam? Because the sensitivity of the touch screen on the opposite side, you brush against it then the dead bolt comes out and slams agains the jamb. Eventually it cannot open cleanly and gets stuck and is no longer “smart” threfore … i wont get it again nor would i recommend it

Doesn't work and Yale customer service is mediocre at best.

Me and my wife purchased this lock specifically for its WiFi ability’s yet none of the Yale apps allow registration upon calling customer support I sat on hold for an hour while constantly being told my wait time was only four minutes before giving up and removing the lock we will be returning the lock asap and moving to a different brand.
