Great receiver

The instruction booklet and cd were minimally informative, but the Yamaha help desk patiently walked us through the set up. We are delighted and would recommend this to anyone interested in a new receiver.

Yamaha RX-V481 Great Entry Level AVR w/ MusicCast
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Yamaha RX-V481 because it was on sale and included Yamaha's wireless MusicCast feature. This allows me to control music sources and volume independently for both the main zone & Zone B. Though both the Main Zone & Zone B can only play the same source, this was great for me as I wanted to be able to connect my screened in porch to living room sound system. Only down side is that Zone B does not allow for adjustment in treble or Bass.

Good Tuner

Yamaha just works

Best feature for me is MusicCast. I can easily stream audio between the bedroom and living room Yamaha receiver, including my vinyl collection. And more MusicCast speakers can be added on later in other rooms.

This receiver does everything from 4k video to all of the streaming channels and is a perfect companion to my 65 inch wireless 4k Sony. I love it.
