A while back, one of my cats urinated on my old Yamaha receiver and ruined it. Unfortunately, two of my peripheral components are somewhat dated and use component video (RGB) instead of HDMI, while the latest receivers support fewer of this type of input. This forced me to buy two component-video-to-HDMI converters. I loved my old Yamaha receiver. I'm betting that the quality of this one is equal, and wanted to give it 5 stars, but gave it 4 stars merely to alert buyers to the potential problem. Although I do not yet have any remote speakers for use with MusicCast, I'm excited buy some soon.

Excellent receiver. It takes a wile to dial it in. While it does many things like the app, I love using my Ipad as the remote. It will hijack your sub (10' Klipsh) not letting you have full control over the frequency. I have been able to go into the settings and adjust most of it out but I've lost the tightness I used to get and am left with only the bottom end. There are tons of setting and you will have to use them from song to song, channel to channel and movie to movie in order to get the right sound. No one setting fits all but for the price and the 4K pass through it will do the job.

Didn’t realize how bad our old receiver was until we got this one and heard the rear speakers for the first time!

Good enough sounds for home theater. Simply to use, and glad that I didn’t spend more than I need.

The device does what it says it will, and does it great.

Overall good receiver. Set up could be a little easier but once set it performs beautifully.

Has all desired features except doesn't support 7.1. If I can find a way to get the additional channel support it would be perfect.
