Great Product But
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this receiver to replace a 15 year old one we had. At the time we didn't realize we needed new digital speakers which increased the cost, and it was difficult to set up. It has a lot of bells and whistles.

Yes and no
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Set up instructions were poor. Very confusing. Box seems to work fine with our existing speaker system, but we can't make it connect -and stay connected-- to our wifi. Very frustrating.

Great Little Receiver
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed to update my sound system and looked for a Receiver that was both affordable and had enough power to efficiently run a 5.1 speaker array. I was unsure if the R481 would be up to a pair of Klipsch R26's but things so much better than I imagined. Plenty of power to get movie sound that rivals a theater and clear music from Jazz, Rock and Pop. Versatile input sources and options like streaming music services give you the many options to play anything from almost anywhere. The unit is easy to set up and calibrate. The instructions aren't very helpful but the Digital Manual was ok. Im very happy with this purchase.

No. HDMI Flickering and no picture with no resolve
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Search Google for "Yamaha RX-V4812 HDMI Flickering"... That should tell you everything you need to know about this receiver. I tried everything and after 3 hours, decided to call Yamaha tech support, only for them to say "Sounds like you got everything. I would go ahead and return it." Not at ALL what I wanted to hear. I wonder if that is what everyone else did that I found with the same problem...
