Sounds great, works well, expected smoother spin of the large volume knob, has more resistance than I'd like.

The speakers (Definitive Technology) are pretty good. The Amp I bought earlier (Yamaha RX-V4A) is garbage.

For a $300+ receiver the sound is average. Am finding the menu difficult to see and follow. Ive had Yamaha recievers for last 30 years and wanted the new hdmi ports etc.

It seemed to be working until I installed the app on my phone then all sound quit coming out of my wired Bose speakers. I guess it only works with blue tooth speakers once you pair it with the app. I returned it.

Works good for how I use it. I wish the set up was accessible for a blind person.

After 4 months, it has decided that generating actual output to speakers is no longer interesting. It seems to do everything else, except its primary function. It isn't as if this thing was rode hard and put away wet - I have rarely used it at all, and never over half volume. Also, the support team keeps bankers' hours. I will have to wait until Monday to talk to anyone about repair or replacement.

Wonderful Manager picked out this gift for our son. He even called and spoke to our son to be certain we were getting the right equipment.

Very happy with my new receiver! The best choice I could have made, complete and technological, fully met my expectations...

We retained our original ordered receiver, a Denon. So the Yamaha I presume went into your inventory.

Wasn't as impressed as I'd hoped. It felt like Yamaha was trying to provide too much for the budget. I returned it after getting a different brand for about twice as much. Nothing against Yamaha, my old AV Receiver was Yamaha {circa 1998}.
