Literally smoked
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Didn’t expect it to sound as good as my nearly twenty year old RX-V650(that is still going strong), but was pleasantly surprised. Equally surprised when it burned up after 2 1/2 months. Yamaha’s idea of customer service was a list of certified repair locations (nearest is two hours away) I could drop off at. I could certainly understand that after maybe six months, but less than three months in is aggravating to say the least. I’ve seen other similar stories here. Guess I should’ve read the reviews instead relying on my own blind brand loyalty.

Not worth the money

The navigation is not intuitive at all, so using it is not easy. Once I set it up, I expected the settings to stick. No such luck. I have to modify settings every time I turn it on, which is annoying. The sound quality is great. I would not recommend buying this receiver.

Firmware Fail
