Very easy to hook-up and the sound is amazing. This replaced a older Yamaha Receiver

It’s been over 40+ years since I bought any stereo equipment. This Yamaha receiver is perfect for my needs. The Bluetooth is excellent. It’s easy to operate and definitely easier to connect my equipment. The HDMI inputs made that happen. I can operate different speakers in two rooms. I’m glad I bought it. Plus, the price is reasonable for a good piece of equipment.

I found it hard to set up. I set it up for 2 stations and it wasn’t easy to use. I exchanged it for the 9.2 channel and I am completely satisfied with it.

Awesome receiver I upgraded from sony what a difference in sound

I bought this after another brand let me down twice in two years. It took a week for me to get tired of the quirks in this piece of expensive garbage. Does it put out sound? Yes. Does it do it the way it should? No. When I set my devices to 7 channels, I expect to hear 7 channels, not just the front two. When I set my devices to 120Hz video, I expect to see 120Hz video, not 60Hz. When I switch to the input for my computer, I expect to see and hear video when played, not after going into the sound setting on my PC, muting and unmuting it a few times. If I start a new video, I have to repeat the process in order to hear it. If I wanted Wally World garbage, I would've gone shopping there.

I'm still figuring out the feature set, since Thanksgiving was a break after just attaching it to my current system. The downloaded user guide is more helpful than the quickstart guide, especially with a variety of devices attached to my old receiver.

Bought this for mostly the music streaming and 2 Channel audio capabilities and I am driving vintage tower speakers with it. So far I am super impressed with the perfomance of this receiver!

I use it as the core unit of a whole-house MusicCast streaming audio system, with two satellite units and speakers in five rooms. My entire house is one connected audio system, including the 5.1 system for my TV. While there are some occasional hick-ups with linking the units, the system is overall stable and with great audio quality, way above Sonos. Highly recommended.

This receiver is awesome. For the price and features how can you go wrong. Perfect for future proofing for a while. Had to return it bcuz the HDMI 2.1 features are coming with a further update. They’ve been saying this for a while now. Waiting for the update so I can rebuy

Excellent budget 7.2 Dolby Atmos receiver with many features of more expensive models. Some features will be available in future firmware updates. Also, HDMI switching is a bit buggy (which should also be addressed in future firmware updates). So, not completely baked yet but still a great sounding receiver with many features beyond its price point.

Bought this as a splurge because I was building my ultimate home theater. Had nothing but problems with it. Kept dropping signal to my cable box over and over. I should have returned it but it was such a pain to install and set up I tried to just endure it. It seems like the HDMI ports finally failed completely after a couple of years, a couple of months after my extended warranty ended. Pretty much a worst case scenario and BestBuy Total was hilariously useless during all of it. Very low quality tech support, always told they can't help, can't send anyone, don't know what to do. They just do everything they can to not help you and get you off the phone or tell you to just "bring your HT setup into store". Zero common sense going on here. BestBuy Totaltech used to be pretty good but it just seems like a scam now. The receiver was surprisingly low quality. I was really expecting more from a premium receiver with great reviews.

Was kinda buggy at first but I bought it right when it was released and most of that has been fixed through firmware. I use it to a projector though so my setup is simple. I dunno if they fixed the 4k 120 yet but that's no big deal to me as of right now. Sound quality is really good but doesn't go super loud. I upgraded from a basic 2007 onkyo reciever so it was a huge upgrade for me.

Replaced my 10+ year old receiver and upgraded to this one. Easy setup and install as I have done previous ones myself. Owned it for a few weeks and sounds great.

Great receiver and price point is excellent for a 2 zone receiver.

I bought the Yamaha RXV6A to replace a 10 year old Sony receiver. The Yamaha was a step up and after a few attempts to set it up, I finally got it working correctly. The sound is clear and dynamic. I love the bluetooth and the ability to use it as a transmitter to send output to my bluetooth speakers on my patio.

Great price for a product that offer many features. I have owned Yamaha products in the past and the quality is superb, the sound quality is excelent, do far, I have no complaints with my receiver.

We love the TV and all the components we bought with it. This receiver being one of them. Price was well worth it.
