Q: I recently purchased this receiver and am having a lot of problems with audio cutting out. Sometimes it’s 1/2 second every few seconds, then sometimes it’ll cut out for 10 seconds! The problem goes away if I play through the TV speakers.

A: OP Here - It actually ended up being a weird but with my new TV (Sony X900H) that needed to have an app installed with a hard reset. It's since been fixed. The receiver is great!

Q: My current receiver I have front speakers A and B, for surround only A is used, but if I want to play in stereo for my music I can use front A, and B together so that all 4 front speakers crank, or I can choose A or B. Is this unit capable of doing this?

A: No, modern Receivers no longer implement a straight-forward A-B Speaker Function. However, most Receivers at this Price-Level implement some form of Zone2/ZoneB with Outputs for a set of Speakers. Whem properly configured, this will produce the A-B effect that you described. Additionally, Zone2 can be set to output a Totally Different Source than is concurrently Playing on the Main Speakers.

Q: This AVR has 100 watts per channel into 8 ohms (20-20,000 Hz) at 0.06% THD, with 2 channels driven. Does this receiver have enough power to run: (2) RP8000F Towers 600w [Front], (1) SPL-120 12” 300W [Subwoofer], (1) RP 404C [Center], • (2) RP 600Ms?

A: Yes. You tube this model and you can see your same setup hooked up to a dyno. It pumped out 200 watts.

    Easy setup

    Sounds Great! I've used Yamaha receivers for some time now. Prior to this one I purchased a Denon. I was not happy with the way it connected to my TV. The TV finds the Yamaha and connects perfectly. My receiver sits in a different room than the TV so ease of connection is a must for me. Changing to other sources is very easy with the Yamaha. Looking forward to years of entertainment with it.

    Best AVR I have EVER owned!!!

    The yamaha RX-V6A has been a staple for me. I have two of them now. Best AVR I have ever owned. Good on the budget and it is both reliable and powerful! Lot's of features! I have owned "high value" receivers in the past and they can't even come close to this one! I DEFINITELY recommend getting yourself one......OR TWO!!!

    Awesome AV receiver!

    I had a Yamaha RXV-385. Great receiver. I bought the RX-V6A because it has more power, Dolby Atmos and a host of other features. Including phono input for my turntable. The unit is visually striking. Hook up was a breeze. Everything works as it should. No problems with Bluetooth. But the main thing is the sound quality, which is excellent. Whether watching movies or vinyl, or listening to tidal or apple music, the sound quality is superb. The unit has performed flawlessly. Hook up to my Wi-Fi was simple and fast. Soon as I turned the unit on, it notified me a firmware update was available. That took just a couple of minutes. All in all I love this receiver. Super easy to set up, great features, plenty of power, and awesome sound quality. And its a Yamaha, which has always been a reliable brand for me. Couldn't be happier!
