I have a Yamaha 5.1 home theater receiver rated at 150 watts per channel at 6 ohms. How will these work with that amp?
Answered by Klipsch Product ExpertThese speakers can be run off of this receiver but we strongly recommend using a receiver/amplifier that supplies ~150 Watts at 8 Ohms to drive these speakers. If you are adamant about keeping your existing receiver, we'd suggest considering the R-600F! This model will still give you a lot of dynamic range and output, while being a bit more compatible with the power rating of your receiver.
My father gifted me his audio setup that he bought while we lived in Madrid Spain in the 70s. The receiver is a Kenwood KR 10000ii, would you recommend this setup? I have a Reel to Reel, Turntable and 8 track setup all purchased at the same time.

The R-800F has a power handling of 150 Watts at 8 Ohms and should be connected to a receiver/amplifier that supplies close to this. The Kenwood KR 10000ii would be better suited for the R-600F. You will get cleaner audio and less chance for distortion.
