Yamaha - AVENTAGE RX-A2A 100W 7.2-Channel AV Receiver with 8K HDMI and MusicCast - Black

I recently had the Yamaha AVENTAGE RX-A2A 7.2-Channel AV Receiver installed, and I’m really impressed! The Geek Squad technician did a fantastic job with the installation, ensuring everything was set up perfectly in my home theater. The build quality of the receiver feels solid and premium, and the sleek black finish looks great with my setup. As for sound quality, it’s outstanding. With 100 watts per channel, it delivers clear, powerful audio that truly enhances my movie and music experience. The surround sound is immersive, making me feel like I’m right in the action. I love the 8K HDMI support, which is perfect for future-proofing my system for high-resolution content. The setup was made even easier by the technician, who handled the automatic calibration feature, optimizing the sound for my room. The MusicCast feature is a nice touch, allowing me to stream music effortlessly from various sources. Overall, the Yamaha AVENTAGE RX-A2A is a fantastic choice if you want quality, power, and modern features in your AV receiver. I highly recommend it, especially with professional installation—it made the whole process so much smoother!

Upgraded to the RX-A2A from a twelve year old Denon AVR-1609 and the 5.1 surround sound quality is 100% better. Followed the set-up instructions and it was a breeze. Can’t beat the price for amazing sound and video quality for under $1000. Very happy with purchasing the Yamaha receiver!!!!

Got this as an Excellent Open Box quality item. Saved ~$100 and has the same factory warranty. Works great and sounds perfect. Wasn't missing any accessories. Spent a lot of time looking between Yamaha and Denons. A bonus to the Yamaha over the Denons is the ability to use Zone2 for another room or outdoor speakers. I use it as 7.1 + Zone2 in my shop/shipping area with a Crown 1502 running my subs with no issues. Zone2 can be used to power a set of outdoor speakers or another reciever if wanted. YPAO works well too. Plenty of power and I love the MAX volume setting. I have it set to -10db myself to prevent someone overdriving speakers accidentally. Dead quiet with no hiss or hums at all. The bluetooth connects automatically when you enable it and the remote can even control the media and skip, pause etc so if your streaming from a phone you don't have to keep unlocking it. Little tip. If you use a pro amp with it, make sure its plugged into the same strip as your reciever and TV to prevent any ground loop hum. If you do get any humming then unplug the HDMI and see if it goes away. Most likely coming from the connection to the cable box/TV. It should be dead silent. Most of the time the cable companies don't ground the coax cables right.

Easy to set up with YPAO; high quality sound using with Klipsch speakers. 7.1. Super immersive especially with ATMOS native sound. Pure direct for all you audiophiles. It is a Yamaha so it does have some quirks but overall i would buy it again

This complex feature-laden easily future expandable Yamaha AVR was purchased due to prior experience with an older basic Yamaha receiver that I am using elsewhere . This product is more complicated and and less user-friendly for me...the user guide itself is 380 + pages . So that being said and although it is basically plug and play, unless you are quite tech-savvy it is a bit of a challenge that I am enjoying immensely as I learn how to utilize more and more features.Movies sound amazing as well as music that is streamed or played through digital sources.
