bought this for Christmas for my dad with two tower speakers, speakers work great! AV Receiver is complete trash! worked for about two weeks then returned it for an exchange of the same unit because the EARC stopped working. I tried numerous different troubleshooting scenarios spent hours on this before I returned it,. like different HDMI cord that was brand new and higher quality didn't work also tried just an optical cord it didn't work either. when I exchanged it for a new unit it was even worse hooked up all my speakers it got no sound out of the box with both optical and HDMI hook ups again spent hours messing with all the settings even plugging it into a different TV and other possible scenarios to ultimately decided tonight that I will be returning this unit and going with a different brand of Receiver with hopes of not encountering the same problem. usually I'm impressed with yamaha, but they must have cut a lot of corners on this unit! Best Buy I highly recommend you stop selling this unit with hopes of saving other people the same headache !

Does what it says it will do. Every now and then it takes a few minutes to actually turn on and display input to the TV. It does eventually come on after the TV blinks for a bit on and off and then the sound cuts on.

Yamaha has long been the best and remains so with this new receiver.

Honestly the best reciever i've had. Bought this as an entry for next-gen consoles ( HDMI 2.1 support and EARC support saves so many headaches. ) Recievers often have so many small "handshake" issues where things just don't turn on, but this thing is so little maintenance. I've only had to reboot the thing a couple times ( aside from daily turning on / off ) Works wonderfully inside my home. EARC support is great. If you need it, get it.

Great entry level receiver. The Yamaha RX-V6A has many features only found on high end receivers.

Bought it because it said it was in Excellent condition. Thoroughly checked and all complete. Far from the truth. It was missing the remote plus instruction manual. Wasn't worth my time to travel to purchase another which i was not interested in paying full price.

Absolutely the best receiver for the price... Phenomenal I would definitely purchase Yamaha again.

Great little unit ..great design... perfect for my pre-wired living room ... setup programming was a little difficult ...not able to get 5.1.2 config for atmos

I would not buy this again because there's a lapse in the audio several times when you're watching anything on the TV and you get Pops in your speakers like back in the day when you were turning on your audio equipment when you were DJ. And the menu and stuff for choosing your DSP is really crappy. I can get HD 10 on my Hisense 100 in TV but not from the receiver.

Sound Quality has been great and so has the picture. Very happy with this receiver.

You cannot get a receiver which supports all the latest formats at this price. Go for it.
