personally this is my favorite neyo album and i also think its his best. everything after this was kind of bad in my opinion. his best ones were the first couple ones and then this masterpiece

bought this since it was on sale! even though these songs are quite old, i still enjoy listening to ne-yo, singing and dancing to his songs! album was in perfect condition when i got it!

I admit that I first heard of Neyo’s music back around 2006/2007 with being previously familiar with some of his songs from 2006/2007 and the summer of 2009/2010. The reason; I was living in Mayport, Florida (Feb. 2005-Feb. 2008) and Orlando Florida (April 2009 to May 2010) during these times and Neyo’s music received heavy radio play (which I didn’t mind because many of his songs are good). Anyhow, Year of The Gentleman by Neyo has multiple superb hits on this collection that masterfully blend dance, pop, & R&B rhythms with Closer, She Got Her Own (feat. Fabolous) and Miss Independent. I’m lucky in the fact that my husband unconditionally loves me and intends to stay married to me for life even though I’m still in the process of embodying the qualities that Neyo mentions in Miss Independent. For instance, my spouse saw that I was seriously trying to pick up some extra cash when I was trying to come in on one of my off days from work (three days ago) and he saw that I was truly bummed out when my request was politely turned down. However, he was extra affectionate towards me after he noticed that I truly did try. The connection to Miss Independent by Neyo; my husband actually likes to be needed at times, but even he is positively receptive when he notices my attempts to legally bring in more money. Year of the Gentleman is perfect for those who enjoy dance/R&B mixes and/or are familiar with his songs Sexy Love and Champagne Life (due to the music vibe of Champagne Life being musically similar to Year of the Gentleman by Neyo).

Ne-Yo puts out a 3rd album, and it is another sure platinum. This album has everything you would expect from a Ne-Yo album. He is a tremendous song writer and is a very talented musician. Although the style of music is different from his previous two installments, this album is still a must have. If you are a Ne-Yo fan, this album is definetely worth the purchase. This album kept me hooked from the very first song. I have not stopped listening to it yet.

I purchased this CD just for two songs: :Ckoser: and "Stop This World". Much to my delightful surprise, I like nearly all the songs on the disk. This is, by far, the best buy I've come across in a music CD in a very long time. "Year of the Gentleman" is definitely a must-have. You won't be disappointed.

just like some of the other reviews that I have seen on here, I purchased this CD for one or two songs but I found that I don't even listen to them anymore now that I heard some of the other tracks on this album.. good stuff for real!!! on the level of usher and chris brown's latest cds for sure

This cd I bought for the song So Sick, and Miss Independent. I like the lyrics to all the songs on this cd, and on Miss Independent my boy N~1~ did the beat and its sick. I like that Ne-Yo is different from people like Usher, and some of the other artists out there. He sings about true real life relationship stuff. Anyways its definately worth buying the whole cd.

This was my first Ne-Yo album so I can't compare it to the other two. However, I can't stop listening to it. I must say that he is very talented and a great songwriter. He really comes off as a "gentleman" on this album. Best tracks are Miss Independent, Closer, Mad, Part of List and Stop this World. I've been playing them over and over. The other tracks are okay too. Definitely would recommend, especially if you are a Ne-Yo fan.

It's been a long time since I've actually purchased a physical CD but when I saw this on sale for 10 bucks I had to get it. It's a great buy if you're a fan of Ne-Yo or if you enjoyed Michael Jackson's early music. Ne-Yo has his head on straight and makes great music

I've been a secret Ne-Yo fan for about 2 albums now, and was unsure whether to buy the CD, until " Part of the list" video aired. I have been unable to put the CD down I even have my husband who hates " love music" listening to it.

I just love Ne-Yo new cd its is so great, it is another super hit of his. The songs are romantic and have meaning to them. You are able to enjoy and like the album all at once. I recommend it to everyone who likes R&B or whose a Ne-Yo fan!!

Love it, Love it. I fell in love with "Stop this world", when Ne-yo was on All my Children and sang this for Angie and Jessie's wedding. Great job, Ne-yo.
