Spend the $50 on a membership to a different company (rhymes with "lost dough") where the products are cheaper and the customer service is effective. TL;DR: I had a game pre-order using a rewards certificate, but I decided I wanted to spend it on a different game. The order cancellation screen said I would definitely get a refund of the rewards certificate, but I never came. After speaking with a chat agent (who may or may not be AI), I was told that my rewards certificate was a "promotion" and I wasn't able to get it refunded. My order also couldn't be reinstated. Bonus: After realizing there was nothing "plus" about My Best Buy Plus, I cancelled the membership. Instead of stopping auto-renewal but still giving me access to whatever "benefits" I'm supposedly getting, Best Buy immediately cancelled my membership and gave me a pro-rated refund of $0.00. How generous is that?!
