||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This service was sold to me primarily as price protection, so that if I purchased something and the price dropped within a specified period of time, I would get the difference refunded to me. So, I bought a TV and some headphones and within a couple of weeks, the price dropped on both for a combined several hundred dollars. I called Best Buy to get my money. Sorry - you need to go to the store to get your money. Great... So, I printed out the advertisements (so I had evidence of the price drop) and headed off on vacation to deal with it later. I came back from vacation and went to the store (because, again, they make you go to the store to get your refund; you can't do it online or over the phone). I handed the clerk the ads showing the price difference, model number, all of it, plus my receipt. She then looks up the CURRENT price and tells me the price went back up, so TOO BAD SO SAD. I told her I was on vacation; I couldn't get to the store - tough luck. I almost lost it. So, to take advantage of the price match, you must: (1) constantly monitor your purchases for price drops; and (2) go to the store the same day that the price drops. They don't care if you are in Fiji or the hospital - you need to get to the store to get your money.
