Sounded good at first but seems to not be worth it

Those deals are gone now, with no warning, which means I now have no reason to renew. I’m giving it 2 stars because I did actually save a lot of money before they replaced those deals, but none of the current deals are worth the price of the membership.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Not only was I told that I could use my rewards towards paying my bill, but that was a lie, I was told that the yearly membership would let me use those rewards towards paying my bill, so I signed up for the Best Buy credit card and the yearly membership hook, line, and sinker. This is a bait and switch, and I canceled the membership as soon as I found out the truth and will be canceling the credit card ASAP.

It unfortunately doesn't offer you to use anything towards payments on your My Best Buy Credit Card. You can certainly use earned rewards or discounts from the My Best Buy Plus and My Best Buy Credit Card to lower the price on items purchased through Best Buy. The lady in Cedar Rapids, Iowa that sild me the MacBook didnt listen. High pressure sales, fast talker, felt like i was buying a car in the 80s. It was easier to buy the membership and cancel it to get away from her.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I unfortunately got bamboozled into buying this membership to accompany the purchase of a higher ticket item with the Best Buy salesperson guaranteeing that it would go on sale for the upcoming Presidents’ Day holiday and that my membership would help me save $200 off the price of that item if it changes over the following 60 days (which the salesperson said it would). I watched the price over 2 months, it didn’t go down. So I was out $260 (potential Davi n d and cost of membership) instead of saving $200. Very disappointed.
