Hi. Thank you for sharing your opinion over the Protection Plans offered with your My Best Buy Total membership. It does remain active while you have your membership active allowing for two years free of charge with the option to extend monthly for a cost. This protection plan would be similar if not the same type of coverage excluding the deductible that is applied for utilizing the plan.
