Customers are saying

Customers have good things to say about the gameplay, charming characters, and humor in Yooka-Laylee, describing it as a fun and nostalgic experience reminiscent of classic platformers. However, some customers point to occasional camera issues, somewhat slippery controls, and aspects of the level design as areas needing improvement. The game's difficulty was also cited as a potential drawback for younger players. While generally well-received for its charming qualities, some technical and design elements received criticism.

it's all about nostalgia with this game.... it's got it's flaws, and your appreciate is solely dependent on if you like and miss the games from the 90's.

this is a lot like banjo kazooie, which was one of my favorite games growing up. some of the puzzles are extremely easy, but overall the game is solid!

This is no Banjo-Kazooie. The small moments of excitement are hindered by bloated worlds and collectibles that are unfocused in their design. Good at a bargain, but there are many better.

It just feels lacking as far as playing. The playspaces are big. It's geared to my age group that grew up with banjo kazooie and also does a lot of wink and nods. I just felt it was over priced

Banjo Kazooie wannabe just isn't fun. Tries too hard to be edgy and falls on its face. Cool that Shovel Knight is in it, though!

This is a fun game but is kinda klunky as far as character movements go and get annoying some times but still fun!

This game is for fans of classic rare only. It's not quite as good as those classics, with many rough spots and less personality, but it's not bad and will scratch that banjo itch.

Game is fun for people who want some nostalgia or kids who you want to introduce old platforming games to. Wouldn't recommend to everyone but for the right audience, definitely!

''Twas okay but not enough to keep me going. Old school 3D platformer with cutesy characters. Play control issues, which is a big problem in something driven by platform style

The game is a lot of fun but at some points there are game breaking glitches that need to be patched. i would wait a bit before picking this one up until those are sorted out.

This game while good, could have been better. It's mostly a "collect all the things" type of game. Some of the dialog is pretty funny. But it's lacking in depth.
