Customers are saying

Customers have good things to say about the gameplay, charming characters, and humor in Yooka-Laylee, describing it as a fun and nostalgic experience reminiscent of classic platformers. However, some customers point to occasional camera issues, somewhat slippery controls, and aspects of the level design as areas needing improvement. The game's difficulty was also cited as a potential drawback for younger players. While generally well-received for its charming qualities, some technical and design elements received criticism.

This game is a ton of fun. Feels a lot like N64 Banjo-Kazooie with similar loveable characters. Highly recommend to fans of classic games like that from the N64 era.

Ideally we would have purchased this product for the Nintendo Switch but fro some reason that version is a lot more expensive so we got the PS4 version. It was a gift for my 13-yo so and he likes it so far. It's well worth the $20.

If you are a fan of N64 games like Mario and Banjo-Kazooie then this should scratch that itch. Its not perfect but its really fun and it also has some fresh concepts in the genre.

    Nausea inducing (sorry to say)

I played Banjo back in the day and don't remember the controls being this bad. I also don't remember the music being so repetitve and bad. And the sound effects...Whoa! My nearly adult kids insist that it's very much like the original Banjo in all these ways. I play a fair amount of games and never get nauseated, but this game literally made me feel sick. Definitely not for me. Wish I could get my money back.

Playtonic decided it'd be a good idea to take away freedom of speech by removing Jontron from the game for speaking his mind. Don't support Playtonic's SJW agenda. No Jontron, no buy
