My daughter lovesssss this game. I thought it would be a bit too hard for her at the beginning given the fact that she is only 3. Fortunately, we discovered that it contains an easier mode for her. The 2 player mode made it even more enjoyable.

    A Crafty Good Time

Yoshi's new adventure is good. The visuals are just as good as Wolly World, taking inspiration from real world arts and crafts rather than just yarn. The sound track though is subpar to Wolly World, not a wide or interesting selection. The plus side to this adventure is that you can take it on the go for some quick sessions, even for completion. I recommend this game to Yoshi fans, as well as casual players, who would want a game to pass the time on a car or bus ride.

This game is a great coop time with a toddler. If you need to get them to keep moving you can eat them up and keep on moving.

Mix one beutiful art style, a tight control scheme, and a satisfying loop of platforming and collecting. What comes out of that bubbling cauldron is Yoshi's Crafted World which builds on the strengths of Good Feel's previous titles, and sets a new standard for the studio.

Purchased during the holidays for $35. Had a blast playing co-op with my wife. Some reviewers have issues with the yoshi "mounting" issue, but we didn't find this to be a problem since we wanted to play together and enjoy a slower pace.

Love playing this with my son. He’s 4. The 2 player mode allows him to piggy back on my Yoshi, and I can handle the platform parts while he handles the hitting stuff with eggs part. And if he wants we can both run and shoot stuff with our yoshi. We do fight at times, but

Fun game if you like the same formula as the last few Yoshi games. These games shine in their presenation. The Crafted world effect is great. Games have a certain charm to them. I would say it is easy to beat and play through but hard to collect all the collectables.

Not as good as Woolly World

The previous Yoshi game, Woolly World on the Wii U and 3DS, was vastly superior to this game in terms of gameplay and level design. Collecting everything in the levels can become a tedious and repetitive. The Egg throwing mechanic has been altered in this game so you can basically throw the eggs wherever you want instead of timing it right, which takes away some of the challenge and fun. While the gameplay isn't as fun, I found some of the levels, specifically the later ones, very diverse and interesting. The crafted look of the game gives it a unique feel and gives me "Yoshi's Story-esque" vibes. The last couple of worlds in this game have levels that are genuinely inspired and very creative. I just wish the whole game was like that.

My 9 year old loves this game. The graphics are super cute. It’s fun to play alone and with additional players. It’s been hard to find a game she loves as much as Mario Odyssey but I think I finally found one. Bought it for my niece and nephew too and they love it as well.

This game is REALLY easy, and there's an "easy" mode for kids to use. My daughter LOVES this game, she's 5. She uses the easy mode, and has a blast. Shooting eggs is a little hard for her, but the game is cute, and we enjoyed playing it.

A Great Time, but Very Safe

This is a tricky game to review. It’s a classic formula, and it’s got that Nintendo polish throughout the entire game. It’s by far the best Yoshi game on the Switch (by default?). However, it doesn’t exactly push its genre forward in any way. And not every game has to do that, but Yoshi games have been more or less the same since Yoshi’s Island on the Super Nintendo. If you’re looking for a Yoshi game to play on Switch, this game is great. If you’re looking for the definitive 2D platformer of the Eighth Generation, you’re probably better picking up DKC Tropical Freeze or Rayman Legends. I’ll be honest, I’m always looking for new 3D platforming games, and I wish Yoshi would finally make that jump into the next dimension. However, the game should be judged for what it is, not for what I wish it was. It succeeds at what it sets out to do, but I can’t help but want more.

This was a birthday present for my niece and she immediately fell in love with the adorable Yoshi. The game is engaging and the graphics are superb. I told my friends about it and they might just add it to their kids’ game collection.
