Its a good game it starts out slow, But the more hours you put on it you start enjoyed a lot more defiantly a must try

Although coming out a year after the PS4 version, this is a much appreciated release on the Switch. The game is worth picking up even if you have played the PS4 version due to its portability. Despite being on the Switch, the game runs super smooth with only a tiny loss in graphics quality.

Good little game. Story a little hard to follow at times, but great little jrpg.

I really like the game. Great story. Pretty easy overall though. The only thing I didn't like they didn't make clear on how to get the good ending so I got the bad one. There's an early point of no return that locks you into the bad ending. Other than that great.

Controls are simple and the gameplay is fun for a genre that is pretty sparce on the Switch.

I'm only about 7-8 hours in and am enjoying it quite a bit. Having played the original Y's on the Sega Master System years ago, I've lost track of the series. I've been able to jump right in to this title and haven't found my lack of Y's mythos to be a problem. I'm liking the premise and the characters so far. Intuitive combat system with some tough enemies at times. I would recommend this game for sure.

I really enjoyed this on the PS4 and the switch version is the same but portable.

A great and fun game for all ages with many adventures on defeating villains.

The gameplay is pretty good, the story is ok, but overall a pretty good game.

The game looks good, plays great, and sounds spectacular. The story is a bit of a slow burn with not much happening outside of the stuck-on-an-island bits until chapter 3, but the gameplay is more than good enough to get through to that point.

Always wanted to play the series and now I can on a more portable version

Fun game, good story, but a little out of date graphics wise

A mostly good port of Ys VIII. But do not start before downloading the updates as it fixes the translation and a series of bugs while also adding JP voices if that's your thing. Then it's a great port sans being at 30 fps.

I’m about an hour into this and I can’t wait for me. I’ve been looking for a good RPG I wasn’t a huge fan of Zelda because there is absolutely no guidance. And XBC I don’t like the combat. Get this game you won’t regret it.

This is a beautiful game with very addicting gameplay

This game is easily one of the best JRPG's in the past 10 years. The Switch version holds up extremely well and I actually highly recommend getting this version.

This is by far one of the best games in the Ys series. If you are looking for a real fun RPG experience on switch, this is definitely the way to go!

Took a chance on this game as I played the last one but it was just ok. This entry is definitely better. The story and gameplay are great.
