Great eSkateboard for the money

Having ridden a boost, first off this is not a boost. The acceleration is not as smooth and the power is not as strong. In fact I bought it from best buy specifically so I could make sure we'd be happy with it. Now the good news is even if not perfect, this is still a great beginner board. I was surprised with its decent ability to climb hills and its high speed setting is fast enough for someone new to the sport. Wheels are high enough to avoid stopping suddenly on even decent sized asphalt rocks and cracks, but does not make the board so high as to feel unsafe. It does regenerative braking so it doesn't feel too unsafe even going down a relatively steep hill (though again the remote isn't perfectly precise). One nit is the board didn't charge the remote as detailed in the instructions, but it charges via any regular USB charger, so this didn't turn out to be a big issue. I also didn't realize one needs to press the clear plastic front to turn the remote on.

Bought on 3/9 for about 750 dollars. The product broke on 5/3. I rode the product probably 150 miles max over these few weeks. It was charged about 10 times total. Im well under the weight limit, and the product had a system failure and is unrideable/unusable. Because it was ouside of Best Buys return policy of 30 days, i was told theres nothing that Best Buy can do.

Received the board on 5/19/16 and the skateboard broke on 6/09/16. Called Best Buy to ask what they could do for me since it broke after I rode it 7 times. Not only were they extremely rude but they said call the manufacturer we can't do anything for you. Called yuneec and they told me they can't do anything call Best Buy. I got to ride it for 3 weeks and those 3 weeks were definitely not worth the $750. Don't buy it.

Brought the skate board for two sons, 12 and 10 yrs old! Board seemed to be of good build quality, worked as described has good speed and kids had lots of fun. However after having the board for a little over a week, kids place the board to charge. The next day, could NOT get the board to work although all lights seem to come on! Finally returned to Bestbuy, who took it back without any problems. Would've replaced it, but kids were NOT impressed with the build quality!

It was a fun skateboard. The only thing is for being 200lb+ person it felt like the board was a little slow or slugish. For someone who weighs less this is definitely a fun toy.

Bought this for a combination Christmas/birthday gift for my son. He's really enjoying it. When it stopped working, the manufacturer stood by the warranty. They paid for shipping and repaired it.

This board costs about half what faster boards cost and has about twice the range.
I am not a skateboarder but this is my second electric skateboard and I use electric skateboards for alternative transportation or short distance errands.
My first electric skateboard I got because parking was horrible where I lived so I used it to get to and from my car. The range on that board wasn't great and the board was stiff so the turning radius was dependent on how flexible my trucks were...so large turning radius.
This skateboard has a flexible battery compartment and deck but the turn radius is still a bit large. The flex is more for comfort for me but it's still a rough ride on rough blacktop like the path going from Bolsa Chica state beach to the Huntington Beach cliffs.
If there are no hills you should be able to get close to the 18 or so advertised miles.
I went from the Chrysler dealership in San Juan Capistrano to the top of Golden Lantern (past Avery and the In and Out) and it's a pretty flat 7 miles until the steep hill at the end and I ran out of juice about halfway up the hill. (You don't want to run the motor too hard when it's straining)
Most of my other trips are only a few miles and the battery pack recharges overnight...you need to turn on the board power if you want to to charge the remote from your board.
I called the Service Department in Pomona because I couldn't see the green charging light but I realized later that the light was on the charger transformer but I couldn't see that initially because of the way I was recharging it.
This company specializes in remote control air vehicles so they have the battery tech, the controller tech, and the motor tech down.
What I like about their website is that you can buy parts because when you use things, you break things.
The controller has two different sets of settings and basically with all four settings you can choose economy over speed.
One set of settings allows you to have greater range (I suspect that it makes your accelerations more gradual, more than the other set of settings and maybe limits your top speed?)
and
The other set of settings allows you to slow down your acceleration, useful if you're getting used to the board.
Note: on the fastest settings, the acceleration can catch you by surprise but you're more likely to come off the board if you brake too hard.
If you change any settings, power the board and remote down and then up.
I really wish they slowed down the initial breaking impulse and then went to maximum after the start of braking.
I actually like that this board doesn't go 20 mph like some of the other boards. I have fallen off of this board (transitions aren't my strong point) and I wouldn't like to think of the damage that would happen to me if I was going 20 mph.
like any other skateboard that you'd take downhill (an electric motor means that you are always going downhill) if you are in a turn, anything sketchy about the road/sidewalk surface (sand, leaves, branches, stones, rough road) will break your grip so come off the throttle and straighten out then hit the brake if you're sill on the board.
If you come off the board hit the brake quickly 'cause you can only brake if the board is in range of the remote.
Overall I'm happy with this board

Purchased the skateboard for 699 for my sons . The product was defective and skateboard and remote would not sink up. Called best buy 4 times to resolve and on hold over 2 hours. Still no resolution. Would not recommend any purchases from the store.

Great Electric Skateboard

I got the E-Go about a week ago and it has been a blast. I am not a skateboarder and it took me about 15 minutes to comfortable with controlling the board.
The best feature is the handheld controller that not only is used to accelerate the board, it can be used to brake; all the way to a stop if you want, even when going downhill.
I rode for almost 2 hours and forget to recharge the board. I took it out the next day with my kids and it fired right up and lasted for about 30 minutes.
At first I thought $700 was a bit pricey for this type of machine and now I am thinking it is a bargain - thinking about getting another one so I can go riding with a friend.

I am a disabled veteran who has purchased this board 3 different times in hope of better results. I have had to send the boards back for repairs 6 times and they are faulty. Even upon sending them out for over $200 in repairs I still own all 3 and not one of them work.
Please look at other options for an electronic Long Board and do not waste money on this company for the holidays. The mark down price is not worth the hassle of having a board that loses its sync with its remote with in months of ownership.
