Decent drone for the price.
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall it's a good drone for the price, construction isn't bad and is fairly easy to work on. The st16 ground station is built like tank, setting a task or making adjustments to the camera while in flight can be difficult for new or experienced pilots, simply because of all the different steps that's needed to be taken to get what you want. One of the pluses it's an easy drone to fly, controls aren't shaky and you can fly in wind up to 25 mph. The biggest problem I had is losing video while flying. About 4 months after I bought it I decided to test the range, yuneec claims it has a range of 1 mile. Normal sunny day winds out of the west at 15, got it in the air pulled the gear up and took off. Video started lagging at 600 yards, at 700 I lost all video. After laying a gold brick I hit the RTH switch, video came back on at around 500 yards. That just one problem I had with it, the other three are hard to explain. I would only recommend this as a starter.

Good, but there are better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second Yuneec Typhoon H. It has some excellent features and takes very good photos. But there are newer and superior UAVs available (somewhat higher price points) that include collision avoidance. I consider this essential as everyone I know (including myself) has crashed their drone at least once. And so I would encourage a potential buyer of a prosumer UAV to look hard at all that are presently on the market before buying.

Careful
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One bad thing with drones is no warranty or anything to cover the drone if something goes wrong. The first couple times flying this drone was very simple and got the hang of the 6-bladed drone. When testing the Home function on the drone, it malfunctioned and took off into the sky until it finally crashing for unapparent reasons. The manufacturer said there was nothing they could do due to the lack of proof that can be obtained from a drone after it has crashed.

Not bad not good
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This drone feels sturdy, but the remote is huge and feels like an android type of electronic. I recommend looking into other drone options such as DJI models.

Not bad for android users
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this drone and realized it was more of an android style controller so decided to switch to DJI. It’s not bad for rookies, but DJI is the way to go.

First generation drone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent design but difficult to handle. Must upgrade to object sensor to avoid crashing into walls.

Fair quality build for cost of product.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The drone appeared to be a very heavy sturdy built product. The fist time I flew it the sensor did not function properly and it crashed into a tree. This caused major damage to the drone. It indicated in the manual there were sensors that would keep this from happening. I returned the unit and had to pay a restocking fee. Not very happy!
