This was a decent tempered glass protector for my brand new note. The extra charge best buy charges to put the actual protector on is RIDICULOUS. The package came with a track so that the screen protector goes on in place. Super easy to install. Cons: you could tell right away where the edges of the protector were cuz of the discoloration. The edges got dirt and dust almost instantly. Lost sensitivity in spots of the screen. Huge glare. Oh and it popped off about 3 weeks later!

    Surprised Disappointment

I have used ZAGG Invisible screen film protectors on other devices and was 100% satisfied. There has always been an issue with a glass protector on Samsung curved screen from my experience so I usually opt for the film protector. When I found this curve glass from ZAGG I was excited to grab one for my new expensive Note 8 as everything I read states the glass protectors are better than the film and the carriers also push the glass over the film for both the Note 8 and the iPhone X(I witness this for myself). My excitement didn't last long after a few days.use. First let me say the installation video was very easy to follow and installation was a breeze. No bubbles or lint with the great installation kit from ZAGG. My issue is functionality. The touch response is very slow or not at all. I have to tap the screen several time to make a selection with my finger or the S Pen especially near the edges. The glass falls short of the actual screen's edge about 1 1/3 mm on both sides. The installation kit centered the screen perfectly so the gap is equal on both sides. You can actually see a line where the glass ends. You can use Samsung's Edge function after you get used to pressing a little harder. The box states the glass screen is case friendly. I have two cases I use for different purposes. One is the OTTER BOX DEFENDER without the screen for my active weekends; the case fits perfectly without an issue. The other case is the Samsung S-VIEW FLIP COVER; this case also fits well but I cannot read the screen display when the cover is closed. The text is distorted to a point where it is useless to me. So the unresponsiveness and distortion while using my main case prompted me to return the glass screen protector to BestBuy. NO they would not give me a refund and said I had to register the screen protector and ZAGG could send me another one. I really doubt I got a bad screen protector (maybe) and I am positive without a doubt the installation was correct. So that looks like money down the drain. I could even tolerate the line a little with the glass not reaching the edge but not the responsiveness being slow or absent.

    Very Disappointed-Cracked in <30 days

I have had many screen protectors over the years including Zagg. After the NOTE 7 debacle I was anxiously awaiting the NOTE 8. I love this phone even more than the NOTE 7 and wanted to protect it with the best screen saver. This is an expensive screen saver at over $50 and I had Best Buy install it. Installation was perfect. This "glass" screen saver is touted to be smudge/fingerprint resistant and military grade protection. It cracked in less than a month when dropped only off my bed to the floor. I have dropped several Samsung smartphones, one off my deck onto a rock driveway...screen and phone were just fine. This screen saver smudges and develops fingerprints more than any other screen protector I have had. This is frustrating since the NOTE 8 screen has spectacular color and clarity. The glare from the sun can make it unusable for those special pictures you want. Touch sensitivity was OK, but I was expecting some decrease in sensitivity. I am returning it to Best Buy in hopes that I can exchange it for a better (and hopefully less expensive) screen saver. Zagg will replace it for $9.99, but now I will have spent over $60.00 on a screen saver that can't handle a minimal fall.

Piece of Junk... Don't Waste Your Time or Money

Looks nice and thought it would do the job. I purchased (2) of these. One for my new Note 8 and one for my wife's. They both fell off within 2 days. The screen was unresponsive in multiple locations. The edge of the screen became unresponsive. Especially on the top edge where you drag down the notification bar. I did not install these myself. They were installed by a BestBuy employee and they knew what they were doing. Sorry Zaag but this has to be your worst product yet. I found a product of similar design for under $12 and it works flawlessly.

    Buyer Beware

Against my better judgement I purchased this screen protector. I read all the reviews about the glue edge discoloration and the loss of sensitivity. All of it is true! I even asked the lady at Best Buy about it and she assured me this was not the case with this specific protector. She told me this one was a self adhesive screen protector and that there were no glue lines on the edges. 1 day after she installed it the glue lines showed up! I thought, oh well. I'll deal with it because I want my new Note 8 protected. What a mistake! I should have returned it right away. All the negative things being said about this product is true. You loose sensitivity. Fingerprints stick way too easy. You spend half the day cleaning it. The glue lines are obnoxious. My son got a screen protector online for $2 and it is far superior to this. Lastly, after unhappily using it for a few weeks (since I paid $35 dollars for it) I set my phone down in my car cupholder and when I picked it up I noticed it had chipped on the edge and cracked across the screen! What a waste of money!

    Could have done better

I have been a long time zagg fan. I pretty much have it for any device around my house. With the release of the Note 8, I was excited that there was a glass screen protector. I'm not sure why zagg doesn't make a sapphire glass for this device, but for the iphone they do. That's besides the fact. The installation is foolproof. It is a great idea with the frame bumper to guide the screen protector exactly where you need it to go. Cleaning of the screen is simple when you have too many finger prints on it. Just wipe it off on your clothing or any cloth for that matter and your screen is clean. The things that do bother me are: 1) The vertical lines on each side of the curved screen drives me nuts. It always makes me think that I have a hairline crack on each side, but it's the screen protector., 2) I've noticed that it reduces some of the responsiveness with the touchscreen., 3) Zagg boasts about scratch resistance and impact resistance, but I've had this for less than a week and I already have a chip in the side and scratches near the verical lines. Mind you, I'm not rough with the phone. I place it in my pocket and take it out of my pocket. That's literally it. I sometimes have pens and chapstick in my pocket, but Zagg's website shows them dropping nails and taking a drill bit to the screen protector with it being ok. I definitely do not think that my pens and chapstick are more abrasive then those items so I do not get why it has so many scratches and a crack. I wish I can recommend it to others, but for $50 and it only lasting 3-4 days, there are better options out there.

I followed the instructions to the letter and watched numerous videos before attempting to install the InvisibleShield and the installation was a breeze with the EZ Apply Tray. But after the install it has practically made my phones screen so unresponsive to the touch it is usless with my finger. I find myself pushing hard to get the phone to respond that I hear a clicking sound coming from the cover. I called Zagg to complain and basically I was told it was an installation error. BULLCRAP!!! Well they offered to send me a warranty replacement but wanted to charge my credit card for the full price of another shield until my old one arrives back at their factory. WTC? Zagg you need to take ownership of your failed product!!! I will be returning this screen protector back to Best Buy. After a ton of research it seems Whitestone makes a glass screen protector for the Samgsung Note 8 that has received excellent reviews for screen responsiveness. I'll definitely be ordering one.

2 weeks, Minimal Use, Needs Replacement

    Posted .

I bought this cover over Thanksgiving, so a little over two weeks ago. I had it professionally installed. First, as other customers have mentioned, it affected the screen sensitivity. For me, it's just at the top of the screen, but enough so that I have to press with a significant amount of my strength. That was annoying, but not a deal breaker. Then, about a week ago, I started seeing cracks on the screen. I was so confused. I had to buy my phone as a replacement for my buggy, refurbished Edge 7, so I bought it at full price. Such an investment meant that I was treating it with kid gloves. I did not even put it in my purse, for fear of cracks and scratches. Somehow, despite it always being either in my hand, on my desk, or on my night stand, it has developed two significant cracks. Not scratches, but actual cracks that are growing over time. I realize it has a lifetime warranty, which is great, but why would I replace it now only to need a replacement again in 2.5 weeks? I am so disappointed. I cannot imagine what someone who puts it through normal wear and tear would end up with. I gave it two stars, because the screen underneath was not cracked.

    Expensive and not responsive

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I bought this screen protector and had best buy install it. The entire lower left side of the display does not respond to any touches with your finger. Only the S-pen. If you push really hard, it will respond (also makes a weird snapping sound) to finger touches but when typing that results in the alternate character being triggered as though it were a long press. Extremely aggravating. Save yourself frustration and avoid this p.o.s. I did read reviews that Whitestone makes a much better curved glass protector. Going to get rid of this aberration and try that out. Hopefully, I'll have more success with them. Fingers crossed!

    Not the best

I bought this thinking it would be the best thing to protect my screen. Although, it has protected my screen, the protector itself has cracked on the edges of it within the first two weeks and I had not dropped it. Also, since putting the screen protector it has made the response for the phone less responsive. I am hitting the screen to type in a message. Admittedly in the past 3 months I have dropped the phone a couple times. This past time the screen literally came right off. I have given it three stars, because the phone screen did not crack and the screen protector ended with one or two more cracks. This screen protector has done it's job in protecting the phone, however the problem I have with it is how it cracked so easily on the edges and the responsiveness of the phone since applying it.

    Easy install, poor adhesion.

I will give this 2 stars because the install was fast and the alignment was perfect. After the install, I noticed that my screen response was slow, and it made typing a bit difficult. I also noticed the hard press for the home button takes significantly more pressure. The adhesive tape on the side of the protector leaves very noticeable lines down both sides of the edge screen. The edges of the glass are sharp and it is noticeable that there is a cover over the edges. After about a week of use, I noticed several scratches on the glass cover, and realized that the glass scratches easily. I have also noticed that the adhesive tape down the sides has let dust and dirt creep under it. I have removed the cover because I worry about scratches from dirt under the sides. I expected much more from a $50 glass cover.

First, this screen protector makes the sensitivity of the screen really inconsistent, especially within half an inch of the edges. Plus, it doesn't quite fit and my finger catches the edges constantly. Then, there are lines along the curved edge, ruining the aesthetics of the phone and the readability of any text there. Also, the edges collect all sorts of lint, and let some debris migrate underneath onto the screen. As if that wasn't enough, the second week I had it, the protector started coming off the top left corner of the phone. The third week started with it shattering from a tap with a light plastic toy.

Having a very good experience with tempered glass protector I chose to buy a tempered glass protector for my Note 8. But the experience with the Zagg InvisibleShield has been terrible. I had followed the proper procedure using the provided cast to install my screen protector. But from the 2nd day itself I noticed - The screen was very unresponsive from the top to almost the middle - I had to press very hard to get the screen to react. - The sides were not as flush as expected - On further inspection I noticed the top part of the screen protector, the glue had started giving up. Having payed a premium price from a screen protector, the experience has been very bad and I wouldn't recommend using this product.

    bad investment!

I got this for my Galaxy Note 8. Installation is simple and went smoothly. The EZ-install frame is a clever aid. I followed the instructions very carefully but I am not excited at all by the result. While the glass is nice and smooth and definitely fingerprint resistant, there are a few problems, making this a bad investment. 1. the protector greatly decreased the responsiveness of the screen - this is a deal-breaker for me. I find myself pressing hard and the responsiveness is quite inconsistent throughout the surface resulting in many failed actions.. Can't wait to peel the protector off (as soon as I can get a better solution) 2. It increased the reflectiveness (glare) of the screen greatly. Now the screen is like a mirror and pain to use indoors. 3. Annoying vertical lines visible along the curved edges of Note 8. This is very annoying too - the lines refract small text if it is displayed at the edge making it unreadable. Short story - don't waste your money with this!

I got this screen protector when i bought my phone. About 2 weeks later, my phone fell out of my pocket when i sat down less than 2 feet off the ground and cracked. The warranty is thru mfgr, not store. I used the warranty and received a replacement free of charge + $11.99 shipping. Now, 2 weeks later, my phone hasn't even been dropped and I noticed it is cracked the length of the screen and has spider cracks on a corner. If I use the warranty, I will pay another $12. If this continues, I will end up spending hundreds of dollars on "free" replacements. I'm going to cut my losses now and get a $20 csae thats water-, drop-, dust, sand, shock-proof with a lifetime warranty and free return shipping

I purchased a brand new Note8 and glass invisishield on 11/22/17 and had the geek squad install. 2 days later (11/24/17) the shield began to crumble on the curved edge. On the next business day I called the manufacture and was told that there is currently a problem and it hasn't been fixed yet. They would either refund my purchase after they received it back for "store credit" or offer a cheaper plastic film as a replacement. Zagg customer service was very unprofessional and offered very little help. If you acknowledge that you have a problem but do nothing to help resolved it why even admit to a product defect? Thanks to them I have glass shards stuck in my fingers.

    New Samsung Phone, Same Issue

Zagg has always been my go to brand for screen shields, however with my Samsung S7 edge and now with my Samsung Note 8, I'm finding that Zagg is unable to get over the hump that is a curved display. The edges don't 100% line up, even with the easy installation, which is really easy and props to Zagg for that, it's dope. But the real problem is that you lose responsiveness because of the screen protector and it's most noticeable when using swipe typing and when using the stylus, so much so that I took it off and threw it out. So until Zagg can fix this issue on their curved shields, it looks like I'm going to forego purchasing any of their equipment.

Installation was performed by Tmobile store manager and lasted a total of 4 days before it fell off and cracked. 3 days after installation a clicking sound could be heard from top left corner when pressing towards the top of the screen, obviously an adhesion problem. This phone was carried in a lined eyeglass case and is used primarily as an mobile hotspot. My last screen protector (plastic) on a S5 Galaxy lasted almost 4 years..... I'm not sure there is anyone who produces a product to protect this phone......$50 for the protector.....$410 for the phone....12% The Cost Of The Phone........LASTED 4 DAYS......Mike Holloway

I've used Zagg screen protectors for all my devices and have always been happy. However, this one has been a huge disappointment. The screen is mostly unresponsive and I have to tap multiple times to input text. The screen protector only adheres on the two curved edges of the phone. It actually fell off one time. I called Best Buy and they said there are many complaints about this particular product. Ultimately, I had to remove this screen protector and am currently looking for another one.
