InvisibleShield HD Clear Screen Protector for Alta Fitbit hard to install by Geek Squad. I had a Geek Squad install on new fitbit Alta, he instructed the protector would be ok once it was dry 10 days later I checked before wrapping, the protector was cock eyed and I refused to give the fitbit to my wife "60" birthday! I took it back to be corrected and the store was out of stock. Went to another store where I was told their Geek Squad does the best installation...... well see attached photo taken exactly 30 days after my wife started wearing her Fitbit..... Very disappointed in the installation. I was told I only had 14 days.

I have bought multiple screen protectors from Zagg for my (and my family's) other devices like my iPhone and iPad and have never really had a problem, they've actually been quite sturdy and long-lasting. I actually bought 3 of these for 3 Fitbit Alta HRs, and we've been wearing them for about a month now. On all 3 (and we all have different activity levels) I've noticed that the protector has already started to slightly peel off at the edges so I'm not sure how much longer they will last. The Fitbit screen protector is just a very thin film, like a clear sticker. I imagine this is because the Alta HR screen is slightly curved and not completely flat as other devices. However, I was left doubtful the 3 times that I applied it whether there actually is a sturdy part to the protector and it just didn't stick to the Alta HR. Instructions indicate you need to wipe the protector with an adhesive film before applying (something I haven't had to do with protectors for iPad or iPhone). When I lifted off the plastic I noticed a slightly thicker sturdier part was left behind and did not stay on the Alta HR. I also tried smoothing out the air bubbles with a black plastic thing they provide, and in one case it almost damaged/scraped the protector. For these reasons, I am giving this product 3 stars.

The screen protector is great! Really works well but the installation instructions and pictures are very difficult to follow. I couldn't tell which tab was the screen protector vs. the plastic shield on the screen protector. Finally figured it out and got it applied but have a finger print stuck to the protector that is permanent

    Satisfactory Protector

The screen protector seems like average quality. The instructions were lacking or could be more detailed. I had several small air bubbles that were very tiny and hard to remove. Prior to installation, the screen protector is stuck to a yellow piece of film. So when I placed the film onto the screen of the fit bit, I could not tell the screen protector had immediately released from the film. It appeared that it was not sticking So I kept trying to smooth out the bubbles that were showing but they would not come out. So I finally decided I would just have to pull it off and as I removed the yellow film it was not sticking at all to the fit bit so I realized it was because the protector had detached immediately from the film when I stuck it on the fit bit. Which is fine. It just detached so easily I had not noticed or felt it separate so I just kept trying to rub out all the bubbles that were actually just between the protector now on the fit bit and the yellow film. So not actually air pockets at all. Thank goodness because I thought I was going to have to scrap it off. So the product is satisfactory once installed.

Can't believe a little strip of adhesive plastic could cost so much, but I suppose it's better than scratches on the face of the FitBit, which by design is probably prone to being subjected to abuse in the course of activity, etc. Time will tell if it was a good investment. One word on ordering, though--wish I had just picked this up at the store rather than having it delivered--it was packaged in a bubble envelope, so the product packaging got smashed in transit, making it unacceptable for gift-giving, which was my intention. Ended up just handing it to my sister who I'd given a FitBit for Christmas, saying "oh, and I got you this for it, too."

Maybe it's just me, but I didn't find the directions to be very clear. The side that sticks to the display wasn't easy to identify. It's on, just not very neatly & for $20, I'm not going to just get another one. Must have good eyesight and a steady hand for this.

To start the zagg shield for the Fitbit Alta works great once it's installed. The bad is the packaging and instructions. I have installed countless zagg shields and was having issues with this install. The directions show a yellow strip getting rubbed with what is essentially a wet nap. Problem is, the yellow is not the zagg shield. I followed the instructions to find out it wouldn't adhere to my phone till I noticed it was on the piece of discarded plastic piece that you peel off. I used the wet nap on that and it adhered to my Fitbit and now works great.

Installation instructions were very difficult. I have bought many zagg products in the past but none were quite as difficult to adhere to a product as this one. Once you figure it out, it's worth it.

It will protect the screen as needed but it doesn’t seem to last as long so it’s a good thing it’s a lifetime warranty.

It's a little bit of pain to apply without any air bubbles. Once it's on you can get the bubble out with a little work. Protects nicely.

I'm a big fan of Zagg and use their screen protectors on everything. I attempted to get this one on my wife's fitbit. It was difficult and ultimately fell off while she was wearing it. I requested a replacement from Zagg which requires the original item. Zagg authorized the replacement even though I didn't have the original since it fell off somewhere. Once I received the replacement, I paid Best Buy to put it on. So far it's still on and working great.

I was expecting to have it be super clear. The face is clear but the edges keep coming up on the side which is frustrating. Had the Best Buy team put it on which cost me $8 to do. They had to do it twice because it continued to bubble up and come lose from on the side. I could have had the same quality output putting it on myself and could have saved $8
